You're right about Abir being a pacifist foremost. He surely did bring back Mishti from the airport but didn't create too much of an issue over everything that happened. He accepted Kuhu's apology for the email and let it go. He's mainly taken Mishti's side in front of Naman and BigBen. During Mishti's PTSD phase, he called out Kuhu (about the pills) because he was worried for Mishti's health but he did regret it later and by the end of the track forgave Kuhu for the letters as well.
I feel that Bade Papa is a more complete character and knows the best ways to deal with all situations but obviously that must have come with a lot of experience. (If he weren't so strong, Mahs would've got Mish to sacrifice her love. He did make a mistake with Nishant though.) Like Badi Maa said, she wasn't prepared with Akshara and Shaurya but with Mishti, she felt much more capable and surer as a parent.
@bold: In hindsight, I agree. It's not fair to ask for this but even a summed up sketch would do. After all, it's not a completely planned out story like say Harry Potter or William Shakespeare's stories to write a thorough, in depth character sketch. Abir's character will depend on the writers, PH, SP, TRPs and can be anything at any point of time. I will only hope that the essence of Abir will always stay. 😃
Experience matters ! Abir is still younger and learning in life, he isn't a perfectionist but someone who wishes to understand people and make them follow their hearts , keep them hopeful and independent, this is what he does professionally and personally too , he forgives and forgets easily , now this is something I consider a flaw but he is still admirable because the character is for the most part shown going into self introspection and kind enough to see his mistakes and own up to it , that makes me feel more connected to him
I agree on bade papa , except the nishant phase which i actually ended up understanding him but not really relating to him , he is experienced, well capable of keeping his family together, but off lately I do feel maheshwaris as parents have somewhere failed to address the real issues of their kids ...
