you seem to be acting like a cry baby over it being taken off HBO Max... calm down its only gone temporarily

and i doubt you even care about Hattie McDaniel ..just wanna use her name for some recycled retort borrowed from thousand other posters (bet most of them didn't even know her name before today or care about learning about her life and how disillusioned she was with her being typecast )

BTW the movie has been criticised for a LONG time... it didn't suddenly become "offensive"..

US Confederacy was a traitorous scheme that lost .

Gone With The Wind was racist. It glorifies plantation style slavery and romanticises the Confederate South. The book is well written but way worse ...it glorifies the Ku Klux Klan as an organisation that rose to save innocent white women from black men who were all rapists and savages. Some of the passages in the book are just appalling.

But I don't know if its a good idea of remove it altogether. Maybe have disclaimers and commentaries..or a ticker tape that acknowledges the racism? Removing one film could set a precedent. Oh well lets think about it tomorrow. Fiddle dee dee.

(The photography is stunning and makes it worth the watch)
