As she stretched her hand to get the ring, I pulled it more away from her.

“Aap khushiyan deserve karti hai. Main—- mera matlab hum saab aapki kushi chahatey hai. Bas aap nahin dekhna chahati. Aap hum paar bhoj nahin hai, hamari family hai aap. Family kabhi bhoj nahin hote. Aap humse door rehkar hume dhook deh rahi hai, poojaji.

I stopped for sometime, remembering that horrible night. That horrible night where all my life changed. My wife, the cheater got an easy death and I was left in this world, having to deal with all the shit happening. Aditi wasn’t my daughter no, she was a reminder, reminding me everyday of my wife, reminding me that the death she got was way too easy. She deserved something worse. Something that will come to haunt her even after her death.

I sighed, I got Pooja’s hand and slowly slide the ring on her fingers while saying,

“...Aditi aur mera rishta waise hi hai, jaisa hona chahiye.”

I got up from the place. Smiling widely, this was the first time we ever had a one on one conversation with no one around and it went well. I wished Bua hadn’t come so we could talk for more time but this much was enough.

That’s when I noticed the dirt in my pants. Agh, my god. I went to my room to get pants to change into.

It's 11.30 in the morning where everyone is takint rest.

I am going to untide the mess in the Hall, it is when I heard someone is shouting like a hell with anger.

I approached the area, what I see upsets me...

Aditi's father is shouting at her and storming out of the room in anger moving of the place...

I run towards her and knelt down...

Kya hua Aditi?... I asked her softly..

She is shedding her tears without even uttering a word.

I wiped her tears and gave her a big hug to comfort her.. Seeing her in tears automatically brought tears in my eyes too...

"Aacha theek hai, chodho yeh sab. Chalo hum Garden mein chalte hai... Rona bandh karo warna main bhi roo dungi..."

She wiped my tears and holded my hands... "Chalo chaachi " She said with a smile.

I holded her cute little hands tightly and we both went towards the Garden...

I see Adu and Pooja approaching Garden. I have a smile on face unknowingly.

Chalo kuch toh aacha hua iss ladki ke aane se.

Adu ko koi toh mila.

Warna Abir ke paas waqt hi kahan hai apni beti ke liye.

Sirf kaam kaam.

Hmm.

Ab bas yeh ladki shudh hojaye jaldi se.

Hum sab iss cruise se ja rahe hai

mann mein bass Aasha honi chahiye

aur khud ki kabiliyat pe bharosa

sab aasaan lagega

ye journey toh phir bhi destination pe pahunchne ke baad khatam hogi

lekin jeevan ki dhaara chalti rahti hai

moral toh yahi hai ki iss life ke journey ka har ek pal jee lo👍🏼
