Has Russia won the vaccine race?

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced Tuesday that Moscow has registered the world's first COVID-19 vaccine, and said one of his daughters was inoculated.

But the treatment is yet to go through crucial Phase 3 trials where it would be administered to thousands of people.

Sweden seems to be pretty much done with Covid-19 (At least for now, things might change down the line, you never know with this new virus) without shutting down the economy and implementing much lockdown restrictions

No second wave of cases like some European countries are facing now

The death rate has been lower than countries like Spain, Uk but higher than it’s neighboring countries

News media often cite examples of Western countries.. when infact Asian countries have done better look at Vietnam and Taiwan numbers..

True South Korea did it without lockdown too but what Taiwan did is truly impressive considering it’s located less than 100 miles from China. More than 1 million Taiwanese work in China and there’s frequent travel between the two countries.

They tried to warn the world early, the world and WHO ignored them

Actually I don’t think the Western media gives Sweden any credit, if anything they criticize them for their foolishness... Maybe they’re right, what Sweden did might be unwise, only time would tell

But I am impressed that they stick to their progressive values unlike the liberals and progressives of other countries , they are truly for individual liberty and valuing people’s freedom and choices

Schools were never closed, Mask nd social distancing were recommended never implemented

They left contract tracing to the individuals unlike other countries

How heartless can they be? Imagine playing Russian Roulette with elderly peoples’ lives who’re spending their last days alone in nursing homes!
