With how heavy handed they were in the final episodes, I think this drama was actually supposed to be a comment about the guys who thinking they're powerful threaten/blackmail girls they're in relationships with when it doesn't go their way (I've had friends who have gotten mixed up with highly questionable characters so I've heard tales).

I think when they stretched the drama or even just how they chose to execute it, they managed to mess up the story-which wasn't that complicated to start with: it made Hamna and Azeem look worse/like hypocrites. It didn't help that Hania/Feroz have a cute chemistry that made you want to root for them.

I don't feel too strongly about it, either way, but I think they messed up, lol. I think Humna was supposed to come off kind of a victim (I don't know how) but they couldn't manage that.

ab toh i feel they should have literally not shown rumi’s pregnancy as it was shown only to punish hamza.Losing rumi was enough of a punishment for him damn it.I had tears when rumi cried after miscarriage,she didnt deserve it at all,where was her happy ending??Losing everything in the end because of caring for everybody selflessly,is this what the writer could come up for her??

they couldnt project it well.Hamna didnt come across as a victim though they wanted to make her one desperately.I saw an article of badar where he said that it deals with social issue and the consequence afterwards.How i wish i had seen that article before starting this show,then wont have bothered to watch as the article in itself gave the hint of sad ending.The makers messed up big time by giving cute scenes of rumi hamza as everyone started rooting for them and the main issue they were supposed to highlight got literally sidelined!!

I'll tell you why. That's bec nothing which humza did , EVER harmed rumi or humna in any way... That's what they showed in the serial. Humza blackmailed humna for her lies to be exposed which was entirely her problem and her weakness.

Humna betrayed humza which was completely sidelined. When humza betrayed rumi ,it became a social issue..when humna was visiting him in the hospital and praying for him, inspite of being married to azeem , that wasnt two timing. But humza sleeping with his wife was two timing that too , when he hated humna

When humna lied to azeem and hid her affair before marrying him , that was bec she was socially awkward. When humza lied to rumi , it became an unforgivable offence. Betrayal in love is ok if a girl is doing it. When a boy does it , it's a sin. Humna was forgiven by azeem for having a past with humza but humza wasnt forgiven for the same ? Azeem trusted humna inspite of her lies but rumi cant ? In order to punish humza the makers ruined rumi completely..her married life and she lost her child too. Where is humnas punishment?

Humza was not a guy with questionable character per se. He belonged to a loving and respectable family. He was not stalking humna ,humna was as much a part of the relationship as humza was. As a human being in love , I strongly believe that he needed a closure from humna, that is , she should have informed him before getting married to azeem. If she did this one thing , she wouldn't be gettin rotten tomatoes on her face today.

Hania and feroze had good chemistry but I sincerely think that they shouldnt have shown it . Thy played with the audience feelings, humza should have never fallen for rumi nor rumi shown to have anything with humza. Bec it all went in the dustbin..whatever "love " they had between them.

I agree the execution was.botched up. After epi 16 it was.like a train wreck..

As an audience I wud be convinced of this kind of an ending if I saw one to one between rumi and humza..where she gave him the reasons behind not forgiving . Where he tried to convince her. If she said this one sentence , that I love you but I cant forgive you , I will.be ok. In this whole bloody concept , love was shown in a such a bad light..that's my grudge. If they wanted to give any social message , just name the damn show as "humna ka safar" n not ishqia.

I see a lot of people questioning Rumi's decision to forgove Humna but not Humza. And why they both were not punished equally since they both in a way cheated her.

Here is my take on it..

Humna and Rumi are sister. They have shared a bond for a very long time before Humza episode. Rumi can absolutely hate Humna for Hamza situation but they still have a bond that was established way before this issue. If Rumi could keep this one mistake aside, she still knows Humna outside of this cowardly act. Humna has been nice to her before this whole marriage saga. Also, Humna was a coward but atleast she did what she did for her father's sake.

Coming to Rumi-Humza bond, the very first step in their relationship was based on lie and deceit. Once the truth was out, if Rumi backtracks to the point where the first deceit occurred, there isn't anything further to go back to for Humza. Everything that Rumi knows or thouvht she knew about Hamza was a facade. She wouldn't know how much of Hamza and his love n actions were honest and how much was fake. Also, Hamza did what he did out of pure evil intentions. Even if Hamza was mad at Humna, there were a thousand ways to get his revenge without dragging another innocent person into this. And, fortunately for Rumi Humza fell in love with her but where would he have stopped if he didn't fall for Rumi?

So no.. Punishments for cowardice and willful planned fraud should not be the same. The consideration given to your sister of 18-20yrs for her mistake will be more than that given to your husband who has been pretending to love from day 1 of the handful months you have known him.

Exactly the same case wth azeem and humna ..the first step in their marriage was based on lie and deceit. Humna was totally in love with humza at that time , she was crying 24×7 with a blank face , praying for his well being . Then why was humna forgiven by azeem? He also knows her for a few months . Did humza blackmail her to hide the truth from azeem that time when she did nikah? Blackmailing started after he got up from.coma. what humna did to him was betrayal. Not wilfully cowardice imo

rumza’s love for each other was highlighted so much especially rumi’s and in the end you get to see a cold hearted girl having no string attached with the guy🤔..What was the damn purpose of showing them falling in love if they had to make a joke out of it.If a person whom you love hurts you,you do tend to get mad at him but at the same time you miss that person and your memories associated with him too atleast for some time!!But here love has been shown as a trash bin where one can throw it off any moment like a switch on switch off button🤪..

Also i think the channel cut off many scenes and curtailed one epi and amalgamated it within 2 epis thats why the ending came across as more bizarre.The toy scene was i think was supposed to be shown when he got to know about losing his kid,then the divorce thingy came up and then hamza went to meet rumi for the last time.They most probably re arranged the sequence,thats why the ending made absolute no sense.Azeem ka sar pakarke rona,rumi praying infront of her abbu’s graveyard,alishba being happy in couch,Rumza’s last convo,all of this scenes were cut off by the channel not by the makers as they wanted to finish it soon.

I cant express how much I hated the scene of goongi in red dress with red lipstick roaming on beach with hajmola while humza lost everything and rumi lost so much.🤢 Feminism ke naam par kuch bhi dekha rahe hain yar. My heart broke seeing rumi crying after she lost her child. She didnt deserve all this at all neither did humza. Just because she blackmailed her ex girlfriend of telling her husband and her father of their affair. Bhen itna hi dhar tha toh kyu rakha relationship. Somewhere I did like how humza's family completely supported rumi and let her know how much she means to them. Wished they showed a scene between rumi and khalid rater than suman as rumi had lost her father recently. And I think the closest of father figure she had now was khalid. I hope we get a season 2😭😭 maybe zoya gets married and rumi gets invited to her wedding and rumi and humza meet again and fall in love all over again❤️😭

@Bold exactly my point.. so acc to Rumi and family there's nothing wrong in making a commitment with someone n then secretly running away and marrying someone else ??

Exactly. This the reason why I hated rumi. She was brought down to the level of humna🤢Humna did the same to humza and in the end rumi did it to him. Matlab pyar karna hi gunah hai. Laanat hai is end par🤢
