lol, I defended her for that. But see, saying anything minor even like that ends up becoming a problem. So why would anyone risk it? After getting bashed, people become wary next time.

Imagine a celebrity blames Rhea and then she ends up being proven innocent? They would never be able to live it down. The same online people harassing Rhea would pretend like they never did and immediately flip to the other side. Celebs can't do that. Look at the audacity of the #metoo bashers now turning into SSR warriors.

And the victim in this case is Sushant..such people by default go against Sushant here - a fellow actor/peer/acquaintance etc. who died a mysterious death at the age of 34 years old - and THAT is wrong on so many levels. Silence and neutrality by default tells us what side most of these people are on. I will say "most" because I would like to believe perhaps 1% of them have some humanity in them and are just afraid to speak up due to repercussions.

This year has taught a lot of us several things..and one thing that it has taught me..as I can speak only personally here..is that always try to speak up for what is right. I know it is hard..I admit it's not easy to stand up alone when the crowd is all moving in the opposite direction as you..but there is a thing called conscience...

I will not call them out for not speaking, although I feel disappointed. Earlier, I have always stood for the freedom of silence for these celebrities. Now that I have taken Sushant's side in this issue, it puts me in an inconvenient position. (Will I expect them to speak or not).

The time when I stood for them was when issue was between two nations or states. An individual's stand was not so important. Both parties (nations) could sustain themselves well, with or without the individual's (celebrity's) support.

But here as you mentioned, there is a systematic abuse and consequently a death. This needs support. Silence or neutrality here is lending support to the oppressor.

I don't buy Zehreeli Kheer's argument that, they need to know the situation well enough to take a stand. These celebrities have taken stand for every issue in America. But for their own industry, "they don't have much knowledge". I will sigh at every placard these celebrities would hold. It screams hypocrisy.

Having said, I don't support your "standing up for the right, even if you are alone". We don't know their situation. If they speak, whom they are up against. We have the power of anonymity. Unlike us, they and their family have faces. They don't want to be the next Sushants. If so, I understand their helplessness. (I have not seen Madhuri being comfortable with Salman in videos. But she has never given a statement against him).

A request to these celebrities. Please do us a favour. If you cannot say anything, at least remain silent. Don't ask us to stop demanding justice because "Sushant needs to rest in peace" or "It is media trial against a female". While Kangana/Shekhar Kapoor seem opportunistic, Swara seems like paid to tweet kind of person. Both have no sense of morality. Kangana's opportunistic side is well exposed, as she keeps changing ideologies between left and right. Hence, only Kangana will be blamed for her stand, not the ideology she claims to represents. But Swara continue to remain in left and give a bad impression of left.

The issues in America like BLM or MeToo wouldn't be impacted even if a few BW celebs say anything based on half baked information like Sara Khan with her All lives matter which was ignorant and yet unimportant

But this one is not such case.. this is a suicide/death wherein an ongoing investigation is underway with two law enforcement agencies at loggerheads and a girl who also happens to be a part of the BW in the limelight as being accused by family

Any stand based on half baked information would be detrimental not only to Their own selves but will also aid in driving a certain narrative

If tomorrow Rhea is proven innocent, where will they hide? If tomorrow it is revealed that there was no overdose and Sushant was actually depressed and it was a suicide of weak moment, what will they say?

Waiting till the inquiry reaches it's culmination is the best option in the current scenario

See, this is not appropriate because you're choosing to color the whole industry based on 2 or 3 people taking a stand on American issues. You can call them out as individuals but why the industry? If you're referring to Black Lives Matter, most big stars said nothing. The only ones I recall who did were actresses who need social media points - Priyanka, Kareena, Sara Ali Khan. Sara ended up deleting her post anyway. Is that the industry? Would you be satisfied if they said something about Sushant's case and not ask for more people? I doubt it because the reality is everyone knows which stars the Warriors are after and it's not these starlet types.

Why should anyone speak up when there is an open investigation that has gone to CBI? Why not let the CBI do their job?! It's better not to say much when nobody fully knows the story. Especially because in this particular case, everyone from Bollywood was crusified and bashed for months for nepotism and Koffee With Karan causing Sushant's death (courtesy to Kangana for escalating that further ). These people have been getting rape threats and death threats since the day Sushant died. Most of them limited comments, became less active, and stopped interacting much because of the public outrage. Now that the tide has shifted to Rhea, why should they bring attention back to themselves?! If you are constantly slandered for months for someone's death, why would they speak up all of the sudden? They are damned if they do and damned if they don't. Can't win either way. There are huge issues and disasters going on in the world right now and people are concerned about if some Bollywood celeb tweeted about an open investigation that people turned into some personal score board.

For those saying Bollywood shouldn't side with anyone as this is a legal matter..what about those who are low-key siding with/liking/sharing IG posts/tweets etc in reference to Rhea? Bollywood's silence on voicing justice for Sushant isn't "silence" just per se or in a literal sense here.. it's the subtle siding with Rhea that some of them are doing in disguise of feminism support or whatever else one would want to call it. To me, that speaks volume. So, we are saying that is okay yet stating we want justice for Sushant and his family is too hard to even fathom? Why? Anupam Kher did it, and in a pretty civilized, appropriate manner. Heck, he didn't even take sides. I feel using the legal card here is giving these folks a free pass for something that is plain human decency. You have celebrities in the west going to TRIAL all the time, but that doesn't stop other people/peers from saying justice should prevail in the media etc..sure, not everyone proactively voices it ..but stating justice should prevail doesn't take away anything from a legal matter. If anything, it strengths the cause.

In other words, what I am trying to say here.. it seems that some of Bollywood has already chosen a side and that it doesn't seem to be the same side as majority of the world. And as a reminder, taking Sushant's side here is merely asking for a FAIR shot at seeking justice for the cause of his death - plain and simple.

And anyone with common sense will also tell you that during an ongoing agency where two agencies are pitted against each other, siding with one side will backfire for any celebrity big time.

and anyone with common sense will also tell you that every business in the world is hypocritcal

Once again siding with an agency is different from saying truth should come out and he deserves justice. And once again to deem a culprit innocent for a man death without an official word is also wrong what is what the industry did. The business world in not hypocritical in all cases. It is in some. But that doesn't mean we should turn a blind eye and not have a right to critique them or point out their hypocrisies.

What is supporting the investigation in a non-controversial way? Please give an example...and more importantly, tell me what impact that support will have. Will the Khans supporting an ongoing investigation make any difference to the proceedings? No it will still continue on as it is but their support will certainly invite backlash from some party....so essentially there is only negative consequences in this so-called support.

Sushant, I hope you are in a better place right now. You will be missed 💔

Why on earth would they do that? Do they have full factual knowledge of what happened? Do you, for that matter? And are they experts in the field of criminology? Are they supposed to accept the premise that the police don't want justice for SSR? Based on what exactly? A hunch?

Maybe it's time so-called fans got off their moral high horse. Because what they have been participating in so far looks very much like a scapegoat hunt and a conspiracy theory fiesta.
