I know that UAE won't give you a nationality even if you are born there unless both your parents are Emirati. Even if the father is a local and mother is not, children don't get nationality. It doesn't matter if you are entrepreneur. However its different in other countries like Qatar, you can get nationality there but the process sure is long and maybe difficult than the west. Maybe Saudi allows that too.
I assumed that he was Pakistani by birth judging by his name, but I could be wrong.
I never thought Saudi was particularly friendly to immigration, so I had been wondering if it wasn't a misunderstanding that got passed around and he's on some kind of long-term resident visa due to his business and he doesn't actually have a passport (but they seem to be living in Dubai, so what do I even know).
