He's effectively? A troll. They demand accountability from people, who owe them nothing. They publicly shame them, in turn — this name-calling being the punishment they mete out. Recent shock began with him, for no verifiable reason, coaxing Mumbai to hate its own police. Which will actually be by its citizens' side, if/when a tragedy occurs. Anchor of a TV news channel, who hasn't stepped out of his studio to report a single word, won't.

Kudos to Mayank Shekhar. You hero, exposing the ugly, vile man that is Arnab Goswami, who dons a gentleman suit and splutters English words every night, the biggest torch bearer/PR of the BJP government.

He wasn't this blatantly rabid. Republic has turned him into something else. Really, really irresponsible the way he spuns his narrative with lies, and when the panelist rebuts him, he lowers their volume or turns off the sound.

To think I used to watch his shows during Congress govt, when he would literally call out the govt for its incompetence. Cheered him then. Now he has himself become the cheerleader of BJP and uses news and lies for TRPs. The most despicable face of news television in India.

I dont understand why people go on his debates, he does not let anyone talk that has has an opposing view to his own, he will literally bully them by calling them stupid, scared etc. The whole point of hosting a debate is to allow both sides of the argument to be heard, but arnab only shouts his own opinion as if its the gospel truth.

I feel arnab puts on a performance, he likes to act like that coz people watch it, he is gaining so much attention coz of sushants case that he is going on about it non stop, he is even telling people to boycott bollywood coz it gets him thousands of likes and retweets, he is doing all this for fame and attention, not coz he cares about sushant

Not just fame and attention... That's just a byproduct.

While he's doing it for TRPs, he's also doing this to win over young people who don't watch news, but have been following SSR's investigation closely. By cheering their words like a loudmouth troll on primetime, he is trying to win them over so that they believe the propaganda he peddles later in life.

Agree with Mayank here. What Arnab peddles is not news its plain old fictional entertainment and trolling with a little bit of news thrown in here and there. He shouts out unverified theories and watsapp forward conspiracies as facts and evidence and you have the gullible audience lapping it up as the truth. It's all about TRPs and being the first one to "break the news" who cares if that "news" is true or false.

A news channel is supposed to present the public with verified facts, give experts and the concerned people the opportunity to present their opinions and their version of the stories and then let the audience decide what they want to believe. Instead what Arnab does, is take some random conspiracy theory or claim made by some unverified person, present that as fact on the channel, and then go around accusing people of murder based on that unverified fact acting like a detective and judge rolled into one. That's classic trolling.

What's surprising is that all these people claiming to be against "Blind Items" because of the effect it has on the mind of the subject is totally fine with a news anchor essentially accusing people (without naming them but with enough hints to who they are referring to) of heinous crimes like rape and murder without any proof or evidence. That's essentially a verbal blind but you don't care as long as the concerned person is not your favorite is it? 🤔

If the CBI comes back and says SSR's death had nothing to do with Disha and that Disha's death was an accident/suicide and that SSR was not murdered, do you think Arnab would publicly apologize to the the people he is currently accusing? Of course he will not. He will either ignore it or worst may challenge the verdict as being "bought" or "politically corrupted". So essentially all the people Arnab is accusing will live their whole life with one section of the public believing them to be murderers and rapists irrespective of what the truth is.

Only Z-listers go on his debates. They had people coming from BW who have no real connection to the industry and barely know how to speak. Sometimes I think the people who come on are paid for their appearance. It's obvious something is up. The people on his side are the only ones that are allowed to talk and even before going there, you would already know that. Why go then?

In this case, he doesn't care two effs about Sushant. This was just a way to attack Mumbai, Thakerays and Shiv Sena since BJP got kicked out from Maharashtra and they can't handle it.

Btw, there was an interview Arnab gave after he was thrown out of Times Now. He implied that Karan Johar had a hand in kicking him out. This was after the Pakistani controversy related to ADHM. Vineet Jain had some sort of connection to that movie (I don't remember now) so Karan had influence over him.

Arnab is using whatever he can to hit back at people he hates for his personal agendas. That's a big reason why he's behind KJo. He was so offended that SRK ignores him and won't even reply to his slander that he was practically crying on his show about it. The best thing to do is not give him any acknowledgement.

Arnab is the embodiment of people who read and believe every piece of information that suits their conspiracy theories on the internet. He does little to no research or verification. Just uses 'alleged' unverified information he finds on Twitter to back his HIGHLY BIASED claims. Lazy Journalism at its best.

He does pay them to be on his show. Do you think anyone with a sane mind will want to go and get publicly humiliated? I have a family friend who is a politician and they have been invited to his show multiple times. He offers them some amount to be on the panel. The said person refused to go many times because he din't want to get into an ugly debate on TV. However, he went on the debate once and said that Arnab was completely different on and off air. He was very well spoken and polite outside. He would already inform the panel that he would be rude on camera and that he may behave in a certain way once the camera is on. It's all an act. When the camera turns off he is back to normal. However, my friend had a bad experience with the one debate he went to so he turned down all the other times he was called.
