I agree probably she used to be the center of attention for Ani. We know how he behaved with her initially fully in trance and all. She enjoyed that attention and adoration from him and believed only she had that kind of hold over him and overconfidence of her beauty. But now slowly that trance is wearing off and she can see Ani isn't that much into her as earlier. Sometimes i feel even her ego is hurt seeing how despite being a kid Bondita is getting all of Ani's attention contrary to what she believed earlier that he would throw her away

Yes. Aniruddh used to revolve around Saudamini if we go by the glimpse we got off their past and she loved it coming from a handsome guy himself, which kid of boosted her self confidence into over confidence. The fact that suddenly a girl from nowhere took all the attention she got is what hurting her, she is in no way love with him and that is evident. A sudden dejection from Aniruddh is affecting her and her obsession is instigating her to take up awful path to get that in trance smitten Aniruddh back while Aniruddh is seeing through all that Mini is outside, he is realizing Mini isn't what he thought off slowly. Saudamini is a character with so many layers, all the layers joining to give it a catastrophic twist.

He has really come a very long way, and I don't reckon he can imagine her going out of his life. I mean he is so optimistic about winning. He doesn't even want to think of the other possiblity

Its not about winning anymore is it? She has become an evident part of his life even without him realizing. Remember what he said; "Bondita, tumse badhkar hai kya mere liye koi chunauti?"

She is all that matters now. Bondita is all that matters to Aniruddh now. He has grown to adore her righteousness, her outspoken self. Qualities he wanted in his girl, and what he thought was in Mini. He adores her now and in future it will benefit.
