Its scary if your partner has a mental illness and commits suicide it can be pinned all on you even if you were helping them. Families have such bias even against wives so a gf was expected. In India women are called Dayan/chudail if anything happens to partner. I think rhea was being extremely reckless in this case by not involving his family more. Or maybe sushant didn't want to involve his family because of the taboo of mental illness. Such a classic case.
