First of all, wow! thankyou everyone for all your lovely words for my prev post. RheSha's fantastic performances do most of the work for these write-ups.

Anyway...in celebration of MISHBIR 100th AT, I decided to reminisce back on some original mishbir❤️

Hope you like this #throwback scrabble🤗(scene+drabble😉)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

During their emotional reunion at the airport, both Mishti and Abir unknowingly end up indirectly confessing their heart-felt feelings to one another. So Abir decides to bring Mishti to the mandir to finally give their relationship an official name. But Mishti is nervous and hesitant, knowing the grim complications that loom over them; like perpetual overcast clouds. In attempt to clear the skies, she turns to question the man she not only loves, but also considers as her mentor; she nervously asks him, what does he really think about this delicate connection between them. Recognising her apprehension to pronounce a name to their new feelings, Abir in his own poetic style, provides her that assurance, strength and comfort, ki “hum woh pyaare se ghar bana lenge”. Overwhelmed by his words, Mishti replies with a warm smile, as Abir looks tenderly back in to her eyes, she instantly feels those fluttering sensations in her heart again. Mishti tries to buy herself some more time, and thus runs away from his hold and gaze. Momentarily, they become entranced in an unexpected flower petal shower. As Abir tries to create a few sweet romantic moments, Mishti continues to avoid his mesmerising eyes. Their little fairy-tale moment is broken when a group of children cutely ambush them, throwing colours up in the air.

When the mist of gulaal eventually dissipates, Abir is instantly transfixed at the sight in front of him. Like embers of fire sprinkled on the moon, he notices small remnants of the laal rang on her face. Abir has always been a faithful and loyal devotee of the lord. He’s always believed in the power of kismat and, once again he was blessed in disguise. They say that “bacche bagwaan ke roop hote hai;” so the fact that children showered them with the rang of love, purity and power, had to be a special message haina?

“Ye rasta mushkil bada hai,

Ek aur sahara de maula,

Ek baar tune de diya hai,

Ek aur ishara de maula,"

The signs from god can’t get any simpler nor more magical than this. Thus, (our hoshiyaar and sanskaari ladka😆) Abir accepts this “ishaara” from his beloved partner and surrenders himself to his heart. This time, he doesn’t hold back his emotions and his impulses, and instead allows his heart to take the lead. Soon, Mishti turns back and notices something different, but before she can realise the change, she gets lost in his endearing hazel eyes. The feeling from the touch of his fingers against her cheek, quickly gives her the answers she’s searching for in his eyes – pyaar. For a quick moment she glances down to watch him gently wipe the colours off her skin. Mishti can’t help but smile adoringly when she looks back up and sees how focused/engrossed Abir is, as he continues to adoringly remove the remaining rang from her cute little nose.

Our pyaari chorni never fails to surprise our gadheda with her bold moves😉. Once again, he is momentarily puzzled, whilst Mishti the caring friend that she is decides to return the favour. She leans in, and his eyebrows furrow in bafflement, as she tenderly holds his chin and turns his face away. The tables have turned and this time, Abir secretly glances down from the corner of his eye; his lips slowly curl in to a smile, as he sees Mishti trying to brush the colour off his cheeks. Sensing his gaze, Mishti looks up and instantly stops (wiping) for a second. [Although this exact moment is a fraction of a second;** it still conveys so many thoughts and feelings] In that momentary eye-lock, they telepathically realise that this silent exchange between them is their first touch of real love for one another. Not a reassuring handhold, nor a consoling friendly hug, but just rather a genuine moment of pure affection, love n care, straight from their hearts. But at the same time their child-like conscious makes them realise, how this also may seem kinda ‘cheesy’. They share a cheeky smile and maybe even a lil giggle. Embarrassed, Mishti looks back down smiling shyly and continues to remove the remaining powder. Whereas, Abir who is now beaming with a wide smile; closes his eyes contently allows himself to soak in this feeling he’s been longing for -- pyaar. Thus, they have coloured each other in their own rang after all.❤️

Before Mishti tries to avoid the elephant in the room, by running away again; Abir pulls her close to finally confess his feelings to her verbally. And where better than, the home to all purity, love and peace (mandhir), all attributes of which both Mishti and Abir represent together.

I know this whole confession sequence is worth watching in complete as whole episodes, each and every moment is worth a drabble post on it's own...but I always felt something super special with this specific part - mishbir + holi colours = ❤️❤️❤️

p.s **[I have an fun alternative take to that little moment, if anyone's interested, I'm happy to share that tiny snippet too]

Nandu, this description of the scene is so nice to read. It's magical to watch too, but I love the way you've tried to explain their feeling.

I believe in signs myself, so I really love this attribute of Abir's 😊.

You're right about the whole sequence. I wish you would write about the next one too, where they actually confess.

Write the alternative take. Would love to read 😊

🤗🤗🤗

aww thankyou girls!

So glad you liked it.

The entire temple sequence is just honestly so hard to articulate in to words, because it's just all about the emotions and the feeling that it expresses. That's why I chose a very cute, small special moment amidst it, to elaborate on. But It really did take me quite a while to find my groove on how I wanted to describe the moments.

@Bold: DAYA ohh I know I wish I could, I'm just too scared to even touch that zone😆 😕That exact moment is just so pure, genuine and heartfelt - it's almost impossible to encompass in words. I don't think I'll be able to give it justice.

I'll try to share the other alternate snippet a.s.a.p👍🏼

I know this isn't exactly a drabble/scrabble; but I felt like posting this parallel scene analysis here:

***

Life is a full circle or just pairs of parallel dreams

One knows a truth

The other is oblivious to it

One is too scared to tell the truth

The other is not in a state to handle the truth

But ultimately both of them are in a silent fight to save/protect one another.

***

These two dream sequences share many fundamental similarities but at the same time some solid stark differences. Firstly, they both allow a better insight into the character's (the dreamer) dilemma and emotions. Mishti during Karwa Chauth had just begun her secret detective journey to get some information about Abir's mysterious Baba. We knew and Mishti knew how much faith and trust Abir has on Mishti. But we also knew, and Mishti knew how strong his attachment is to his Baba. She feels he isn't ready to hear the truth and frankly she doesn't have enough information/proof on her side, to explain why she feels something isn't right with Mehul. Not being able to tell the truth, nor being able to hide it properly is killing her from the inside.

Similarly, Abir here is being pulled in so many directions, he is barely keeping himself together. His emotional stability is being tested every moment of every day. Not only is witnessing Mishti break down again n again bone-crushingly painful, but the constant taunts, insults and negativity being thrown at her from every angle in his house is crushing him even harder. Now that he knows that the man who molested and attempted to take advantage of his wife, is none other than Varun's elder brother - he is not only holding back his outrage against Karan's family, but is also putting on a ('everything is awesome') act for the sake of Ketki's rishta, but more importantly to protect Mishti's wellbeing/health. He is in the same shoes as Mishti during Baba's track (if not, even bigger shoes because the stakes are just that much higher now), not being able to tell her the truth because he knows Mishti isn't the same angry chorni yet - she is still in progress of strengthening her mental state, and neither being able to hide it from her because the complicated family dynamics; it's all literally tearing him apart.

The version of Abir that Mishti imagines of, and the version of Mishti that Abir imagines of are both so believable and characteristically accurate, that these scenes don't appear like dreams but rather reality. All the questions and reactions that Abir has upon Mishti's confession, are so realistic - She knows him so well and she knows exactly what she's doing will definitely raise those exact doubts in his mind. Likewise, given the state of Mishti's condition over the last 3 months; Abir has been the only one with her the whole time, he knows exactly how she'll react if she gets even the slightest hint about Karan's relation to Varun. Hence, his imagination of Mishti complete utter shock and start of her panic attack is totally valid and in turn convinces him not to reveal the truth when he snaps back into reality.

The only distinct and most significant difference between these two situations is the integrity of Mishbir's relationship. The strength of mishti and abir's relationship during Baba's track was still building; their relationship was still in it's new, blooming phase, they were still learning a lot about each other as a couple, as a partner. Whereas now, the level of trust and support Mishbir have on each other and their love, is beyond limits. Although, the fundamental complication here is that ' one hiding the truth', this time around, Mishti and Abir are fighting together as one unit. Their relationship has grown 100x stronger together than before. And that's the best thing right now. If they got through Baba's ordeal in such a early stage of their relationship, then I'm sure as a married couple they will conquer this mountainous problem, victoriously and emerge even stronger.

In conclusion: Yes, the tables have turned. But it hasn't changed into a chair. The table is still a table.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you're still reading; then thankyou for taking the time to do so: the dream sequence in yesterday's episode, reminded me of one of my fav and probably most underrated dream sequences. Hence I felt like writing something special. Hope you liked it xx

Let's also not forget to mention: how amazing RheSha have performed these scenes. Their chemistry and talent is just continuing to shine and the quality of acting is constantly improving👏

You're so right that they know each other very well. That was one of the things that drew me to this pair. They didn't really need words to communicate. That's why there are so many times we wish they would have a conversation, but they don't. I guess they don't need to 😊. I'm not so sure he's angry with the family for what Karan did though, that is just like Abir.

That level of trust too. I'm going beyond the dream sequences you mentioned, so bear with me. Abir has a feeling she is keeping something from him, hence his panic and wanting to get married that day. But he still trusts her so much. Same with Mishti. She knows something is going on and he's not telling her everything - he burned her letter, he wants to go away - but she still trusts him. That level of trust is beyond words. But I agree with you that the depth is stronger now. Mishti lied to him at that time after he got mad, even though he may have sensed that she felt she had to lie. Abir doesn't lie to her (he did try first) and straight out tells her this is what he wants to do without giving any reasons.

Their performance is amazing, but I'll discuss chemistry comparison only when they're in the same frame (not Riya's version 😆) together 😛.
