Whether he knows if his character is marrying shrishti or not isn't relevant to him knowing or not that karan and preeta are not yet confirmed endgame, as given balaji's history and what they are doing with karan's character as well as keeping rishabh so damn good and the love triangle having been left unresolved, any person who isn't even an immediate member of the team could also say preeran are not confirmed endgame and that the possibility could be something else.
