Heard a lot of bad things about the show and why there is no non-Hindu in the show?

Lol. Poor Nadia was treated as an outcast just for being "Guyanese", can you imagine the conversations and Sima Aunty's views if any candidate was Christian or Muslim? "Very difficult to match because of their religion" Haha! Missed opportunity for some more casual prejudices.

I do remember that one of the biodatas Simi gave to Nadia was a Christian but her dad rejected it immediately.

There was also so much emphasis on fairness!! And the way Pradyumna changed his tune after seeing hot model girl. Hilarious!

so my parents are from the Caribbean as well and we’re Indian, my mother is Guyanese. But is it just me or did Seema make Guyanese people sound like foreign aliens? I can’t get over her saying “it’ll be difficult for her to find a traditional Indian boy because she’s a Guyanese.” Most of my Guyanese cousins have married Indians from India, so I don’t know why Seema was behaving like that 😂

It was a fun show. If you keep in mind that it's a reality show but scripted just like other shows then it will be easier to just sit back and enjoy.

Aparna started out a certain way but in the end I could see a slight change in her demeanor..she was a little relaxed and she started enjoying her dates which was a good change👍🏼

I loved Nadia..such a fun loving girl..I really really liked her 😃

Pradyuman was boring..he acted like he's the smartest person in the room and that put me off

I felt so sorry for Akshay..his mom is a tyrant..my god! she's so controlling and aggressive

Vyasar was meh..I think he was being too exuberant and it was all for the camera

Ankita was cool.. I was relieved when she decided not to continue with the matchmaking services..👍🏼

I liked the single mom too..I forgot her name..She had such a nice vibe and she was so positive irrespective of what happened in her life.

Sima is facing a lot of backlash but she was fine. Yes, she keeps asking people to compromise but I have even heard parents say that to their kids so it didn't shock me. She's doing her job..don't see her as a family member/do gooder like Nadia did, she's just trying to increase her success rate/get more business nothing more nothing less.

P.S I felt so sad for Srinivas rao who was the first match for Aparna. The way her family disregarded him and called him a loser That was awful.

Overall, it was a masala entertainer. Don't take it seriously and don't compare it with what's going on in India/abroad.

Single Mom - Roopam

agreed about Srinivas - felt bad for him, why would they air something like that ? Unless they want to have bigg boss type of show ???

She absolutely did, which was bizarre because it's not as if the ethnicity was Guyanese, Nadia was still ethnically India/South Asian. I did think Nadia herself was also looking at it as an obstacle probably because as she said most of the Indian men she dated on her own in the US were Gujju and wanted a Gujju girl?

It was funny because Nadia was so lovely and nice, she shouldnt have had that issue at all. And then Guru rejects her for having a mimosa! Unbelievable, lol.
