I agrew DT notes and lot of negativity along with surprising U-turns is to be faced here but all we need to do is maintain respect, because nobody is an enemy here. So, I'd say go ahead and share your thoughts. We can only have control on what and how we want to say, not on the reactions is what I believe in.
