Ham Dil De Chuke Sanam was a story which revolved around Aish's character, she was protagonist, was it a woman centric film?

Chak De India had SRK in lead role but the story was about Indian women's national hockey team, was it a women centric film?

Amitabh played a protagonist in Pink, don't think anyone will deny it was a women centric film

I don't see HDDCS as women centric film but I do think Chak De and Pink were women centric, so I guess the important point is the story as neither Salman nor Ajay had the Screenspace, Aish had in HDDCS

So, True, I got the different perspective through your post, it completely depends on how we perceive it. HDDCS was a woman centric around a story of a woman who is torn between her love and family. Pink and Chak De India were women centric. Not even these but even Dangal was a women centric movie. Very well written.
