Yes, swearing isn't against the law. Again that doesn't make it ok. But where I am from it is not against the law. Unless India has cyber bullying laws. But even here in America, which has recently passed very detailed cyber bullying laws, rarely are people ever held accountable for trolling against public personalities.

Actually yes, it is freedom of expression by law. Just because its disgusting doesn't mean it's illegal.

Although calling her a pro* might leave the person open to defamation suit because that's a material accusation not an opinion on her.

Calling someone ra*di is not swearing, it's abuse and cyber bullying/harassment. And it's against the rules of the social media platforms she is in be it instagram or twitter and there are cyber bullying laws in India as well. Just because people are rarely held accountable doesn't mean it's okay. It should be the responsibility of the SM sites to make their platform a safe space for dialogue and not cyber bullying. Do we talk like this here in this forum? No right? Despite having thousand differences all discussions are kept civil.

So taking legal action against abuse is not curbing 'freedom of speech'. Trolling and abuse is different. People posting 🐍 on her comments is trolling, calling her 'maa ki c*t r*ndi benc*d' is not trolling. It's straight up abuse. And not just Shaheen, anyone would do the same if they would face such comments under their tag every single day-

Then they can get their accounts banned from those platforms at most. They can't do anything legally. Michella and Barack Obama got the worst most racist trolling/abuse on social media ever. And no! No one was held accountable because when you make yourself a public personality you sign yourself up for trolling, judgment and public resentment. Again all they have to do is block they won't deal with them simple.

Zindagi main ith ka jawab pathar se dena sikho. Yeh case wase se kuch nhi hota. Troll ke badle troll. Bullying ke badle bullying. Dont get upset over it. Learn to take everything and anything. Fir chahe tum khud bhi kyu na cyber bullying ke jurm main andar ho jao. LOL.
