I just saw Notebook, and I can't believe it didn't get nominated for 'best story' at Filmafare this year. The story was so so beautiful. Also, it didn't even get nominated for 'best cinematography' like WTH. Notebook had such gorgeous cinematography. It contributed such a large part to making the film even more beautiful.

Also, can't believe that Ananya Pandey won for SOTY over Pranutan Behl for Notebook and Sharmin Sehgal for Malaal. Like WTH.

I AM FREAKING IN LOVE WITH THE MOVIE. LIKE I SQUEALED WHEN THEY MET IN THE END. SO MANY FEELSS. SIGH, THIS WAS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL LOVE STORY.

And the message at the end (with the boy dropping the gun), so so powerful. Finally it hit me why they were teachers, because they were advocating for the importance of education especially in a region like Kashmir.

I can't remember the last story that was told so simply as this was. Such perfection. From the cinematography, to the acting. Pranutan was such a natural. The guy was decent as well but there was something about his face that constantly distracted me (maybe its his eyes? I don't know)

It hurts me that such a perfect film like this was ignored.

In the past weeks or so, I have easily discovered quite a few films that were totally ignored even though they were so good (both acting wise and story wise)

Piyu Bole is one of the greatest songs ever, and it is pretty hard to sing given that you have to convey the humour of the song through your voice, and BOTH Sonu and Shreya did it exceptionally well.

Himesh winning it over Sonu is just travesty!

I have watched October, Notebook and Laila Majnu from the list You mentioned and they all are freaking awesome . Will try to watch others too as looks they would be good too.

But you wrote so right about Notebook. I was so much in awe with this movie that I kept telling people to watch it. And this movie is so perfect in every sense, from the songs, cinematography, acting, a solid message with so much simplicity, you can just never get bored of it. ❤️

Piyu Bole, Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin.. these are some of the many gems sang by Sonu. Can't believe Filmfare ignored his talent and gave it to others. Like HOW EVEN?!!!
