Coz may be it was clear to him it wasn't his fault. He was being held back by a contract. He was being unfairly held back.

The point is, slb may have offered him a film or more than one, but sushant could not do them, most likely coz he was committed to other films such as paani. It seems paani was a big reason why he missed out on a few projects

So slb didn't sign him in 4 movies and then drop him from them, coz that would be ridiculous, ssr was just not able to do the film so slb offered it to someone else. This happens alot in bollywood, many stars lose out on projects for many different reasons, but then you just have to accept it and move on

So slb is not to blame in this case and ranveer shouldn't be blamed either. Slb offered ranveer the films fair and square, ranveer obviously wasn't going to say no to working with slb and why should he say no? He put his all into ramleela which is why he was offered bajirao and padmavat, he showed slb that he is capable of doing those roles

And I dont think this is the reason ssr took his own life, ssr left yrf and was signing projects, he had moved on from yrf, I dont think this was something he was holding onto for so msny years. There must have been some other reason, I feel the meetoo allegations must have effected him alot, to be accused of sexual harassment is quite damaging

there is no contract preventing him from signing other movies

the contract with YRF is about doing 3 films with YRF

when he was supposedly offered RL he wasn't in contract with YR so

The main culprit never gets blamed. Aditya Chopra.

SLB also cannot be blamed. He went to the extent of paying royalty too to get Sush for Ramleela as per him . Still YRF din't allow coz he had not shot any film for YRF back then. Then later Pani ka bahana.

The main culprits are trying to divert attention from them to innocent slb.

He was. Thats what SLB told the police as per one version. This was 2012. He was under the YRF contract but he had not done any yrf film then, forget doing three. SLB paid a royalty to a tune of 4 cr+ to YRF to get Sush for Ramleela but ultimately dint happen and talks fell through.

This article claims that Sushant himself rejected the SLB films due to his prep schedule for Paani.

"SLB admitted that he did approach Sushant in 2013 for Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela and in 2015 for Bajirao Mastani, however, the actor was under contract with YRF (Yash Raj Films) and working in their film Paani. Bhansali revealed that Sushant was busy with Paani's preparation. But as a director, he wanted SSR's complete attention and dedication. Unfortunately, due to Sushant's hectic schedule, he himself declined to work with Bhansali and since then the filmmaker never approached the actor for another film."

He ultimately did . I dont blame him. He is Aditya Chopra afterall. How do you go against him ? You really need guts.

I am sorry.. unless I get a direct quote, I am not willing to believe SLB would be willing to pay 4cr for Sushant to YRF.. Sushant was not exactly a star per se.. and SLB was coming fresh from a disaster.. why would he pay that kind of money for a newcomer? Sounds pretty weird
