Yep. He exercises extraordinarily large amount of right over Bondita, which came just because 1) she is a child 2) she is his wife but he doesn't realise while saying it, But in his subconscious mind he knows that she is that one person who would and who should stand by him in every phase of life. He didn't ask that even to Mini once he got married, only when Mini said about giving her support, he was moved. So yea, he doesn't expect it from anyone but Bondita, that too expects it without him asking.
