A few days passed.
Babita kept asking Minni to say 'yes' for Viraj while Minni just kept arguing stating the reason the she is yet not ready. On the other hand, Neil gradually began losing hope. His heart stayed filled with sorrow and agony. He gradually had started avoiding conversation with anyone even with Mickey. Minni had tried several times to talk to him but nothing could convince him. And what could have? Deep down He kept waiting for an assurity from Minni that she totally belongs to him and no one else would ever have any sort of right over her except him. But all that she ever said was that she loves him. He kept wondering all day that this 'love' would turn to 'loved' someday. These thoughts kept brutally hurting his heart making him far more restless. All he needed was 'Minni'. And there was Minni still fighting with her fears...still struggling to hold the steering of her life.
Things started getting worse between them. Neil was struggling with his feelings while Minni had no idea to get everything right. Fights and taunts became common in their conversation. Minni was fed of her regular fights with Neil, arguments with her parents, fake friendly talks with Viraj over texts and calls and no support from Mickey and Preet.
"What's this Neil ? You are again drunk", said Mickey finally after finding Neil in a bar.
Neil just gifted him a glare and then moved his eyes down to concentrate on his glass.
"Neil ...comeone let's go", asked Mickey while trying to make him stand on his feet.
Neil somehow stood up , tried balancing himself but then finally took his seat again.
"Neil...come on . We should go now",asked Mickey.
"To whom?", Neil questioned back.
Mickey was left speechless.
"For whom I should go?...when...when....she don't want me....why should i go...?"
"It's nothing like that Neil. She loves you too""..,Mickey tried to console him.
"Love...bloody hell...there's is nothing called love...get it straight into your head Mickey..there's is no love....
There was no love.....if it would have been ....she would have given our love a chance ....if it would have been love ...it ..it...would have given her courage ",stammed Neil as he sobbed.
Mickey just put his hand on his shoulder in empathy without any idea of what to do next.
"I don't want a confused one.....I want a....", Neil left his words incomplete and rushed to his car.
"Neil .....wait..." , shouted Mickey as he followed him.
"What?"
"You are drunk. And thus you cannot drive ", Micked stated.
Neil just ran his hand in his hair in frustration. He glared Mickey in anger as if insisting him to back out but Mickey was in no mood to follow his orders. He made Neil sit in the passenger seat and himself took the steering and drove away.
The next morning, Neil's head was already banging hard due to higher consumption of alcohol last night.
He sluggishly opened his eyes and the ray of sun began scorching hks soulful eyes. He someone crawled out of bed and tried hard to remember last night's incident but miserably failed. A scorching pain kept piercing his brain every now and then insisting him to curse himself for drinking.
"How come I landed in my home?", he wondered.
And as soon as he saw his reflection in the mirror he stayed stunned seeing his bloodshot red and rheumy eyes. He couldn't recollect anything but could surely say that his last night had not been a pleasant one.
He somehow reached the office and directly entered to his cabin without even greeting anyone and specially without even sparring a look on Minni.
As the day was reaching to its peak, things began flashing in front of his eyes. He kept wondering or maybe overwondering about everything.
"Hey! Wait...did I met her last night?", Neil wondered after over examining his condition.
"Maybe in the effect of alcohol I had met her and ...what if...we had a conversation..what if I had poured my heart out...what would she had replied....what would we have concluded....what if things had settled down between us....or what...what if....it had been messed up forever ", enormous things kept prompting in his mind. Suddenly an urge cropped in his heart ....to know what actually happened...but he failed to muster courage to ask her...afterall things were not same as always now.

After hours of fighting with his own thoughts Neil finally gave in and decided to query her indirectly.
All day he kept looking for an opportunity to steal a minute of hers but things kept both of them busy or maybe the new born awkwardness played a more vital role in keeping them aloof.
Mickey noticed it all. He the agony he witnessed last night in Neil's eyes. He remembered his conversations with Minni where he had suggested her the loophole and that she couldn't deny completely. He remembered their togetherness and how both of them couldn't never deny each other. He remembered that if Minni had not bind Neil in a eternal commitment , she had left him not too. She had yet not to marry Viraj and suddenly a ray of undying hope emerged in his heart. He quickly rushed to Preet and explained his plan to her. Preet's eyes flickered up with mischief. She quickly agreed and soon rushed to Minni.
"Do a favor....kindly keep these files in the store room....at their respective places...please....i need to rush for something really urgent...please..please..please ", requested Preet with her puppy eyes as she handed over a building of files to Minni and soon disappeared. Minni sighed in disappointment but had no other option than to help her. Accepting her destiny she stepped towards the store room.
And there was Preet giggling in behind.
"Ur turn now", Preet texted Mickey with a clear mischief in her eyes.
Mickey smiled at her message and soon carried Neil with him reasoning that he wants him to see something really. .really important.
They were passing through the corridor when Mickey intentionally pushed Neil into a room and quickly locked the door.
"What the f**k?" What's this Mickey. Open the door", shouted Neil.
But Mickey just giggled and gave a hi-fi to Preet and doon both left.

Hearing Neil's angry voice, Minnie's heart ached. She could easily feel goosebumps on her hand. Silence endured.
Minni came out from behind the bookshelves and kept looking at the sight in front of her. Neil was standing at the door already in frustration.
"What are you doing here?", she asked.
"I should ask you the same", he taunted.
"Preet had asked me to keep some files here....so...", Minni was about to complete when Neil interrupted.
"Yeah...preet...ofcourse ",said Neil as he gave a non amiable look.
Suddenly he remembered his turmoil of last night. "I guess it's the best chance I would ever get to ask her", he wondered.

"What's this? Get the door open ", shouted Neil at the call.
"Just before your scheduled meeting after an hour ", smirked Mickey and cut the call.
Neil sighed. Minni understood everything seeing his face.
"How's the last night?" Asked Neil indirectly.
Minni gave a confused look.
"I had a sound sleep", she answered .
"And?", he raised his eyebrows.
"Didn't I met you yesterday"
"Did u wanted to?", asked Minni as she flirted back. Neil understood that she had nothing to do with last night. He sighed in relief thinking that he atleast didn't messed anything up.
"If you'd have allowed ", Neil said.
"I didn't deny though", replied Minni.
"Really?", asked Neil as he moved closer to her and took her hands in his.
And in no time his hands slided around her waist pulling her more closer. Minni could feel his breath on her neck and her heart began pounding harder.
Neil snaked her hand around his neck. He then cupped her face and began soothing her cheeks and ears with his lips. He then moved slowly towards her lips while small kisses in between.
"Neil...", Minni moaned.
"Stop it", she whispered but Neil continued.
"Neil .."
"What ?"
Neil took her lips in his and soon his lips began their work mercilessly trying to persuade Minni to respond with equal vigor.
"Neil ...stop it", asked as she pushed him and freed herself.
"Why?...Do u want that Viraj to be here....in my place.....
Were you imagining him?", said Neil as pulled her against him again.
"Neil..what's this...leave me..",asked Minni as she tried to free herself.
"Answer me dammit", asked Neil as he made his clutches harder.
"Neil...leave me ...you are hurting me now ", asked Minni as she tried to free herself.
"Yeah...now I'm... I'm hurting you ", said Neil tauntfully as he left her with a jerk.
"Neil..."
Neil sighed trying to calm his bursting emotions down.
"What do you Minni?", he asked.
"To go out from here", she said as she looked away.
"Stop this....I am just fed up. Let's talk straight...
Miss. Minni Singh ...I love you...alot....
with all my heart but the question is Do you love me?", Neil said.
"U doubt it", asked Minni.
"Why shouldn't I?...", shouted Neil as she he held her shoulder and shaked her with jerk. Tears began rolling down
her cheeks.
"Ohh...comeon...don't act like a victim. Stop pretending yourself as some godly figure who can't stand against her f**kkng baseless words to her parents.
Stop pretending...please
It was not just me who felt that spark. You are equally involved in whatever happened. Kindly stop acting so innocent. You're not some victim whom i used infact...it's me who should.......", Neil left his words incomplete.
"Neil....you should ....what?, you should what Neil?", shouted Minnie admist her tears.
"Do you think I've used you. And now I'm just throwing you out of my life Because. .......", Minnie's voice choked.
Suddenly they heard some noise at the door. The door was unlocked.
Minni ....dont call it love whrn you are jn constant dilemma to fix it or to leave it....
I dont need a confused soul. I need someone who is willing to stay and sure about it"
Neil turned and began walking to get out of this fuss.
As the moved the doorknob his ears freezed.
"We are over Neil Oberoi", said Minni sobbing from behind.
A droplet of blood shed down from his eyes uncontrollably.
He didn't turned around and left leaving broken Minni behind.
"Mom, call Viraj tomorrow ...I wanna meet him", said Minni to Babita and left to her room without escaping any other word out from her mouth.
Babita couldn't believe her ears. She was on cloud nine.
She sent a silent prayer to god thanking for sparing Minni some wisdom and convincing her to say 'yes' for Viraj.
