Kshatri and Kshatta are the same. Both terms are used to describe Vidura in diff versions. Even Indian Census from 1800s says so. There is also an Ancient Voices article on it (links below).

If Vidura had to be Kshatri/Kshatta, Vyasa had to be Shudra.
Re: pure caste. After so many generations, they then turned to pure caste. Don't ask how. They just didđ.
Ok thanks for confirming
So we have have
Bheeshm-- son of a Brahmin mom and a Kshtriya dad a Kshatriya and not a Suta
Vyas-- Son of a Brahmin dad and a Nishada mom, a Shudra (a pure caste after loads of hybridisation)
Vichitraveer-- son of Kshtriya dad and a Nishada mom a Kshatriya
Uttara/Uttar -- children of a Suta mom and a Kshatriya dad -- Kshtriyas
Why was Karna a Suta though? Was Radha a Brahmin? Or was Adhirath's mom a Brahmin married to Kshtriya dad of Adhirath.....
Jo mann hota tha wahi caste rakh lete the, koi rationale hi nhi tha.
Heights of confusion
is karn sangini worth watching? who is urvi in karn's life?
It's a based on a poem, "Karn's wife : The Outcast Queen" by Kavita Kane. And it's definitely not worth watching. I started watching it, but then stopped after 4-5 episodes. Except Tejaswi, Sayantani, Karn's mom, none was worth watching. Asim Gulati did a good job as Karn, though not as good as Ahem but definitely better than Gautam Rode.
Kinshuk was disappointment as Arjun. Wondering how he got casted as Arjun again woh bhi by SKT

Bheeshma's mother was kshatriya.

PURĂRAVAS had six sons, Ăyus, DhĂmat, AmĂĄvasu, ViĹwavasu, ĹatĂĄyus, and ĹrutĂĄyus 1. The son of AmĂĄvasu was BhĂma 2; his son was KĂĄnchana 3; his son was Suhotra 4, whose son was Jahnu. This prince, whilst performing a sacrifice, saw the whole of the place overflowed by the waters of the Ganges. Highly offended at this intrusion, his eyes red with anger, he united the spirit of sacrifice with himself, by the power of his devotion, and drank up the river. The gods and sages upon this came to him, and appeased his indignation, and reobtained GangĂĄ from him, in the capacity of his daughter (whence she is called JĂĄhnavĂ) 5.
