But he recieved plenty of accolades for his film if not as much as the people who won awards that year. You yourself called it tough competition. I find many of Aloo's performances overrated which she won awards for.

Again Ananya winning it for nothing challenging in SOTY 2. And Tripti not for doing a role which requires many actress years of experience before they can carry with confidence. It will require some tough questions on my end. You can feel free to disagree.

But how is Alia winning an award comparable to Sushant not winning one? Its not like Alia is the one who robbed Sushant of his awards.. So whether Alia deserved those awards, whether the performances were overrated or whether she bought them has no relevance to Sushant

As for Tripti, I haven't seen her performance.. Maybe she will win for all I know.. I can't really predict the future

Not debating on who should have won but Filmfare themselves did a year ender article called Newsmakers of the year where Sushant's Sonchiriya performance was listed as one which was liked by the critics. Rao 's judgemental had no mention. But when it came to nominations Rao got a nomination , Sush din't .

hmmmm.. But then Rao does not have much of a clout and neither does Aysuhman so maybe they had their own criteria.. Who knows

Abrar Zahoor who got so much accolades for playing the antagonist in Neerja. He was 20 times more talented than Sooraj. I thought Sushant did better than Danush just my opinion.

Dhanush is a better actor than Shushant. See some of his movies which are often dubbed in Hindi. He literally beats competition with everyone on the list.

But his debate Ranjhana was not better than Kai Po Che or else he would have had a better career in Bollywood. Maybe it was luck. But Sushant had the better debut. Again even if they had given it to Raj Kumar Rao I would have been ok. Their careers flourished more because people noticed them in those films.

Why are comparing Shushant with Alia? They both work in seperate category. Many of us find Shushant mediocre and lacking screen presence.

The same reason I compared him to Sooraj prove that mediocre insiders are more likely to get awards. Again people need stop pretending to be psychic and pretend like they know other people intentions.

Point being she won last year for 15 minute role in Gully Boy. Tell you can’t name one performance more deserving.
