Let’s not exaggerate. Kareena had her fair share of struggles and bad decisions. Her success wasn’t completely manufactured like Aloo’s. That is why people bash her less. Even though she was more immature than Aloo when she came and has given more bad performances. Heck if Aloo got another script like SOTY or MPKDH she would butcher it too.

So while your clearly mocking the people calling out nepotism right now. It is a bad comparison from the type of nepotism that existed during Kareena’s peak to now Aloo.

Both are average (and horrific in so many movies). They're really a director's actor.

but aish can never do a JWM..Talaash..Heroine..Udta Punjab..either

both belong to different worlds when it comes to acting

but i enjoy watching kareena more on screen..such a natural baring some very OTT performances of course

Kareena.I have said it earlier too when she is good she is hard to beat.Its becoz of her MPKDH types movies that her acting sometimes gets questioned otherwise I feel she is really blessed when it comes to acting.

When people say Kareena cannot do a Jodha or Devdas or HDDCS..it is bcoz in those movies Ash’s looks played a very imp role (which obv Kareena will not be able to pull).Its her personality that added xtra charm to her performance..yes she acted well too but those roles were not purely acting based.On the other hand when Kareena gives a good performance(Heroine,Omkara,Talaash,JWM ) it is simply her acting speaking.

So personally I feel when Kareena is in form she is way ahead of Ash.

You know I remember saying this when ppl compared Rani with Ash -- that Rani or most actresses couldn't have played those roles because the roles require someone who is extraordinarily beautiful to carry the film, which most actresses lack. Even Kat who is very pretty wouldn't suit the roles: Kat has a very modern 'supermodel-ish' vibe whereas Ash has a very old-world-Aristocratic "Queenish" look which helps her in period films. Even the likes of Deepika (who are considered beautiful in today's era) don't have the Queen-like look of Ash.

I remember Ashutosh saying he only took Ash in JA because Ash's face has that Queen like vibe which would suit the film. This gives Ash an edge in period films (even in films like Guzarish, Ash's beauty was an important part as SLB's movies are all about beautiful shots and such). It isn't just her acting that made those roles successful.

Kareena Kapoor has made me want to punch the TV screen whether it’s from her exaggerated eye pop-out expressions or her pathetic dance moves (with that awkward limp hand). At this point, any actress (except for Katrina & Sonam) would win over her for me.

But wasn't Kareena offered Hum Dil or something, and that Bhansali really wanted to work with her? I think he moved on to Ash later on.

Also, I think Ash could have done Udta Punjab. There was nothing much in Kareena's role that required exceptional acting. 😆 Anybody could have done it.

Not a fan of either but there are some movies and characters of Aishwarya where I have felt no one else could have been a better fit than her...eg: Nandini, Paro whereas with Kareena I have never felt so, not even with Geet...In fact, Kareena was unbearable in her earlier movies with too much overacting...I never realized how bad she was when I was little and watched some of her movies then but a couple months ago, I watched Ajnabee again and her OTT acting blew my mind away!! She overacted even while mouthing the normal dialogues but she did improve a lot, she was much better in a very similar role in Aitraaz and she has done well in most of the recent or her mid-career movies!!

Anyway voted for Aishwarya just coz of Nandini and Paro!

Hard to say. Kareena in Talash was amazing.

But no one does royal type of roles better than Aishwarya.
