I can understand the hate Abdullah is getting but frankly I find it to be unfair. It is well established that Abdullah is a weak person. His character has been very consistent. He should not be expected to all of a sudden became this saviour hero when that's just not who he is. A person who saw abuse being meted out at a young age and then himself became the victim of physical, verbal and emotional abuse cannot be expected to become a strong voice suddenly. His years of abuse cannot be erased just like that. He has always searched for acceptance and will do anything for it. He wants to please because that would stop the abuse. His personality and esteem has been completely destroyed as it is and Shanzey's emotional blackmail is making things even harder. That kind of emotional blackmail with the threat of suicide would even make a regular person weak. I identify with Washma so much and even I have become confused and faltered in the face of emotional blackmail. Abdullah knows right from wrong, he can relate to Mahjabeen but he himself is so crushed by abuse that growing out of it would take years.

Glad there were no scenes of Shanzey this episode. She is so damn annoying. Sarwar is a perfectly capable and intriguing villain why we are forced to watch Shanzey is beyond me. She has become a complete moron and Sarwar who is supposedly so smart and cunning isn't very bright if he thinks he can get Mahjabeen. She doesn't like him, her family hates him. Even trying to force their hand would do nothing. He should listen to his mom, she actually talks sense.

Hey umz good to see you back!

Isnt Mahjabeens character also weak? But she still always trusts him and his words

Yeah, i also think they will focus more on Abdullah becoming her saviour🤢

Both Abdullah and Mahjabeen have their own insecurities , flaws and mindsets based on the treatment they got from this society...abdullah is a very underconfident guy who always dreamt of having a confident , strong wife who could become his strength...so when he got rejected by shanzay ... inorder to proove that he is not a "loser" he decided to marry mahjabeen but the fact is he wasn't capable of taking her responsibility by that time ...he thought marrying a girl who is slower or weaker than him would make him a real man...he does relate with mahjabeen but his fears , insecurities have made a very strong impact on him ... otherside for Mahjabeen marriage is just like a test ...she doesn't want to get failed in it at any cost so she does everything that other people say her to do or what she thinks is required to become an ideal wife

Basically both of them wanted to get rid of the tag "loser"

But writer showed us that it's not easy for people with such complexities can become each other strength !!

I think in upcoming episodes we will get to see how Abdullah become strong and face Sarwar inorder to protect mahjabeen and that's how the concept of "love" will be understood by both Abdullah and Mahjabeen !!

what i meant was that two similar people like Abdullah and Mahjabeen are more likely to get along and understand each other than two polar opposites like Abdullah and Shanzay, who do get attracted temporarily but then they just repel lol.

Abdullah and shanzay definitely has no match ..it just Abdullah who underestimates himself and gets attracted toward a modern woman (shanzay) as he sees her superior than himself but I believe with time he will realise his love for Mahjabeen and decide to change himself for better inorder to protect mahjabeen !!

Yup definitely! My post was long so I didn't mention Mahjabeen. They are both weak and have their own ways of trying to gain acceptance and validation. She is easily trusting of not just Abdullah but everyone really. Mahjabeen is a very positive person and she sees everything to be good until negativity is practically breathing down on her. Her fight or flight response kicks in at the last minute. Washma and Pho are really the only two people who are able to see Mahjabeen for who she is.

Yes. Sarwar and shanzey are 2 people who have always belittled abdullah . So may be be thinks that if these 2 people are happy with him ,he may have lived upto their expectation,it gives him confidence n boost his self esteem which was always tattered battered by these 2. And he does think mah as someone who is very stupid , stupider than him. So her acceptance doesnt mean much to him.

In all this the worst part is played by mansoora. She is this blind ?

I really find Mahjabeen and Abdullahs personalities very similar to each other. They are both naive but intelligent in their own aspects. They both underestimate themselves and think theyre dumb. But it seems like the story is gonna focus more on Abdullahs growth and becoming a hero for Mahjabeen🤔 im more of a feminist so i wanted to see Mahjabeens growth lol

Agreed, they both have so much to offer to the world and have their own strong traits but they just aren't obvious to the people around them. They are smart in their own ways and I hope they grow to own these qualities within themselves.

That may likely be the case but from the promo for next week, I see Mahjabeen as being a hero. Her first trying to fight to get back her husband and then willing to walk away with her head held high is testament to her strength. It shows that she is stronger than the supposed hero Abdullah. She isn't crying or begging at his feet. She was willing to compromise and when that didn't work it seems like she is walking away to try and build a new life. With Sarwar now resorting to blackmailing her, her expressions during that phone call show that she isn't willing to grovel or fall weak in front of him. To me that is a powerful woman. That's growth. If they focus more on Abdullah growing a spine and gaining perspective into the intentions of people like Sarwar and Shanzey then it is well deserved because Mahjabeen has already proven her strength. Abdullah is the one who is yet to show growth and nothing has happened yet that would compel him to grow.
