Fascinating ones! I like them all up to some extent. Mark Twain's adventure classics are good. I had loved reading the Great Gatsby (I think the movie did not offer much justice)

My personal fav are Little Women, Heidi and the Wizard of Oz. I am always in awe of Louisa M. Alcott.

Different kids have a different perspective in life..........none of you're wrong........some kids like to be busy.....they don't miss much of being..........so-called kids.......type........I'm aware...many teenagers spend time partying.........playing..VGs......bothering other people.......those are not productive........they've so many potentials.......they're wasting..........

@bold - I was "those kids"....I guess I still am 🤣

My sister cried a lot when she graduated high school because she didn't make the list of Valedictorians (our school has 12) and I literally could not understand why she was so upset because I'm like but...you achieved all this...shouldn't you be proud of it? But for her....it's never enough...I guess she's very ambitious and I lack that. This crooked Valedictorian system was later scrapped and then introduced the Latin Honors System...she still gets sad about it because she would've gotten the highest honor....LOL I wasn't a bad student...I always kept on top of my studies but I never aspired to be "#1"....

I can relate. I was a stresser in school and I had to do every single activity out there. My parents never forced but I guess I liked doing it back then.

That being said the school pressure was a little OTT at times. There was a point in time when my days used to be completely engaged in school activities🤢

Yeah...honestly the school system in India seems so draining...I've seen my cousins and how stressed out they are from primary school with academics and other activities...they are busy all the time...and then it gets worse as they get older

Me too!❤️ I think hers was the first classic I had picked up as a kid (it was a kid version that I had read ) and was blown away by it.

To me Louisa M.Alcott takes the step a little higher than Jane Austen when it comes to portrayal of female emotions or characters in general.
