No, getting movies is something different and hype is something different. The problem comes when two actors are equally talented and both their movies are successful, but one is hyped and other one is sidelined be it in media or be it in awards. Just like Kedarnath (Sushant and Sara) and I admit that audience too is responsible for that.
Awards tho ? Most people know by now Bollywood awards are just things these people give to each other to stroke egos. Most people stopped attending even. Minority only believes in it

Rajkumar Rao's NEWTON was selected for INDIA's entry to OSCAR, his film got boast from this news & survived the Average verdict while it was going to be a complete failure & here we are hearing he isn't getting any HYPE??
Every Outsider has all the support from FILM CRITICS, their films are praised as if that has got the only QUALITY FILM material, which in reality nobody cares, they don't even watch their films on TV, yet they are promoted as Better films in media.
Why are you getting so offended, relax, if someone is putting point normally why you can't take that normally.
No, I still stand by it, RKR doesn't get the same hype like other star kids and some hyped outsiders too.
And I am talking about the struggle he had to do reach there.
And please, I don't have energy and patience to argue with you. I didn't want to enter this thread even, but I replied to cricketfan as I saw her comment, as I know her.

Why should he get hype though? He hasn't given a single box office hit since Stree and his openings have been low in that time too. He may be talented but the audience isn't watching his films.

Am I abusing you or cursing you by my reply? Didn't I say it politely? Fine, you don't want to discuss, just quoting you that I haven't replied to you in an evil way.
When this happens then the actors/actresses start shifting blame to nepotism. 😆😆

Because he is talented in my opinion. And which audience you are talking about I like him, and, I know, if he does get good scripts (.i admit his choices have been horrible lately) he might do well. Please stop generalising audience , me and many of my friends do like him. So, it's like this.

+1
Even More, RAJKUMAR RAO didn't even get any Credit/Hype for his role in QUEEN, it was all KANGANA Hogging all the limelight 🤣 To add it more, Judgemental Hai Kya was Kangana's Flop more than his flop, even his failures don't get that much credit. Point to be noted here KANGANA(OUTSIDER) eating all the HYPE & CREDIT, but we all will crucify Ananya Pandey & Alia Bhatt 😆

Abusing and curses isn't the case always, there is a kind of rude tone which can be sensed from the way you write. That's what I meant.
Sure, I don't want to discuss, I wanted to reply to cricketfan and I did that.
Peace out.
I am not going into this debate of nepotism and outsider and insider as I have enough of all this.
Thank you.
Agree...The outsider best vs insider best debate does not really hold a lot of ground because at the end of the day both sides have people getting multiple chances despite of failures and successful people with mediocre talent. Success and survival in Bollywood is not determined by one criteria, its talent+looks+charm+charisma+personality+screen presence+networking+connections+chemistry+audience acceptance+box office success+LUCK...
A lot of these factors have to come together for someone to succeed and that someone can be an outsider or an insider it does not matter. The only advantage an insider has is pre-existing connections and network which allows them direct access to the decision makers. If you are a Star Kid you also have an existing audience who has probably followed your life right from childhood and are fans of your parent and are ready to pay money to watch you on screen. Both of these are inevitable and there is nothing anybody can do to change it. The insider or star kid still needs to have the rest of factors to actually succeed.
For every Ranbir, Alia, Sonam, Abhishek, Hrithik, Salman, Tushar Kapoor, Uday Chopra, Esha Deol, Bobby Deol, Kareena, Karishma, Tiger, Varun, Kajol, Rani, Sanjay Dutt, Aamir Khan, Imran Khan, Ajay Devgan, Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Jhanvi, Ananya, Sara etc etc
There is also RKR, SSR, Kriti Sanon, Aishwariya Rai, Priyanka Chopra, Sushmita Sen, Akshay Kumar, SRK, Govinda, Sunil Shetty, Preity Zinta, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Kangana Ranaut, Juhi Chawla, Raveena Tandon, Jacqueline, Siddharth Malhotra, Ayushman Khurana. Bhumi, Tapsee , Manisha Koirala, Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Rekha, Kartik Aryan etc etc
Each one of the people mentioned above have had failures and have gotten work in spite of those failures. In fact while creating this list it almost made me think that there are more successful outsiders than insiders in the industry.
Not saying that nepotism does not exist in bollywood. It definitely does like it exists in every other sphere of life. However, generalizing and saying that only insiders get chances and that failure of an outsider is ONLY because of nepotism is just gross simplification.
Yes, I am convinced. Madonna is not an actress and more a singer. But, she excelled in two period films - Dick Tracy and Evita. She was...
