I know there is no character development in Sultan but I find Sultan's character and his attitude very entertaining. Danish Taimoor is killing it as bad boy, arrogant Sultan. Much more fun to watch him in this avatar than his character in Meherposh.
I know.. sultan is the only good thing about deewangi. Aur saas ki jali kati kisko dekhna hai. Fizzol characters saare ke saare. In meherposh he looks like a different person only. I love him that way also but sultan se zyada nai😃
Hmmmm.Actually I don't think that Khaani glorified the killer. Yes it borrowed elements from a real incident but overall it was a fictional story and not a documentary. There have been several instances of fictional works being inspired from reality and yet having a different story and characters. For example George RR Martin drew inspiration from Tudor history and the War of Roses for his books.Similarly the characters in the show are different from the ones in reality.Meer Hadi was the ml of drama Khaani , played by: Feroze Khan. He killed Khaani's brother. And the fell in love with her..he redeemed himself..but didn't get the love or forgiveness of the fl. 🤔
That show also glorified the killer. It was pased on a real life story, minus the love story between the killer and the sister of the murdered guy.😊
Mir Hadi was actually the driving force of that drama and no words can describe how beautifully Feroze portrayed him. That character had multiple layers and each one was fascinating. It also had phases of development. He started off as a spoilt brat who was intoxicated with power and believed himself to be above the law went on to become fascinated with a girl assuming that he was in love which transformed into an all consuming obsession and eventually discovered what true love actually meant when he let her go. Then came the phase where he actually experienced remorse and haunted by his sins causing him to feel the pain he had inflicted on others which culminated in him walking on the road of spirituality and surrendering himself willingly. This was character development at its finest. Also he didn't opt for the easy way out and commit suicide but lived and faced the consequences of his actions. I have to admit that my heart went out for him rather than the female lead who had become incredibly annoying towards the end 😆
This is what I miss in most antiheroes nowadays. The writers barely put any efforts into exploring their characters and making them more nuanced. Sultan had the potential to become a memorable character but these idiotic writers ruined everything 🤔

Is meherposh that bad?. I mean I have never watched a single scene but I read many on social media say it's boring and bland.
Honestly had it been in my power then I would have made the guy end up with the girl at end for his character was that brilliant. However he ruined his chances even before it began by killing her bro And it was not even accidental but an intentional cold blooded murder.Afterwards even his redemption and remorse couldn't get him the girl's heart. And she was never even in love with him.Originally posted by: Lizzydarcy
Never heard of this drama, but for me, if the guy redeemed himself properly like you said, I’d have liked him to get the forgiveness and end up with the girl. I’m too much of a romantic at heart and like to watch love story type dramas where the leads end up together.
This is why I get mad when other antiheroes when they deliberately axe their legs and ruin their chances with female leads who are very much in love with them over stupid things like our Sultan for instance 😆 If he had half of the redemption arc which Hadi had then Nageen would have ditched Haroon and reunited with him immediately.
High five!! I'm a die hard romantic as well.

Hhmmm extremely well written character sketch. I have started watching it n I am loving it too..female leads , normally I find all of them.annoying except a few 😆 Its not like they must drop everything and run in the heros arms , the moment they confess love , but they lack depth ...cant really describe it..they do all the ridiculous things and get into trouble, yet demand sympathy bec they are helpless. Daneen was one of the girls who I loved. She had a mind of her own , she did mistakes and owned them without any regret. I love rumi from ishqia. I loved.loved khirad ..kashaf..I dont mind watching a flawed female but they shd justify it..
Coming to deewangi, I could never warm up to nageen. I get it that all bad boys get attracted to stubborn girls who dont give 2 hoots to them 😆but I feel nageen could have listened to him once when he was doing so much majnugiri around her..n she would have fallen for him...I can say it with confidence that she never loved sultan bec her mind is prejudiced against rich people..she prefers zeherli saas over sultan's riches.
sultan is very different from mir. Sultan is a nice guy at heart..he doesn't know how to nurture relationships bec he has only seen failed ones in his life. ...he genuinely loved his grandmom...n his daughter who never got a chance to be with him..he would be a good father....The only way he knows to control anyone and their life is by power and money . he is extremely dangerous and a total nutcase when things dont go his way...in short love changed mir..but nothing cud change sultan 🤣

I know, and I too wanted her to fogive him at least. 😒I remember arguing with some members in Khaani's thread , I felt we have a new Hadi after his redemption..I thought that Hadi who was an evil was a result of bad upbringing..and a new Hadi was born after he realized his mistakes.
And it was not even accidental but an intentional cold blooded murder.Afterwards even his redemption and remorse couldn't get him the girl's heart. And she was never even in love with him.
I think she started falling for her secret admirer.😉 Hadi sent her messages, gifts, and she was dreaming of him unknowing that it was her enemy. I know it wasn't love , but she started liking the secret guy. Na?😲

@bold . No way.😆How can she ditch her husband? She is a loyal wife.😃 But she might felt sorry for him.. and might died over losing him. 🥺
High five!! I'm a die hard romantic as well.
I too.❤️
