Part 41

Next day Mr bhalla ,toshiji and ruhi trio visited ishra . Ruhi saw Raman and ran to him ,he hugged her tight and asked caressing her hair" how are you baby ".

Ru- main to theek hoon papa but what about mamma .How is she?.

R- she is not good beta , but we have a good news .

Ru- haan dadi ne bataya , ghar mein chotu baby aane waala hai .

R- yeah ,you are right .

Ru- to hum mumma ko ghar kab le ja paayenge papa .

R- don't know baby ,your mumma is still not awake .

Ru- wo kab tak theek hongi papa .

R- (sadly)- I don't know that also bachcha .

Ruhi became confused she thought ror a while then asked " but papa ,chotu baby to mumma ke tummy se aayega na ,par wo to coma mein hain ,phir kaise hoga papa ."

Raman don't know how to answer her , he thought for sometimes then said " actually you know mumma hospital mein rahegi to she will rest and baby will grow in her tummy ."

Ru- but agar wo khaayengi hi nahi then how can they survive.

Raman was sad but he don't want to make ruhi confuse ,so he took her inside ishita's room and showed her the IV attached to her body and said " your mumma and chotu baby will be fed through this , the doctors will give necessary medicines and other fluilds which will fulfil their needs of food . In this way your mumma's condition will become good and your chotu sibling will also grow."

Ru- ohh .

They remain silent for sometimes then Raman said " Rooh ,go and talk to your mumma ,may be she will respond listening to your voice ."

Ruhi nodded and walked slowly towards ishita's bed ,she stood near for sometimes, don't know where to start . Raman niticed this and he came closer to her then held ishita's hand ,gave it into ruhi's hands and signalled her to talk . Poor kid couldn't talk anything just burst into tears saying " I miss you mumma ,please wake up . Aapke bina mujhe kuch bhi achcha nahi lagta hai . "

She stopped for sometimes then said " I m so sorry mumma ,sab kuch mere chalte hua hai ."

Raman didn't like that his little daughter is blaming herself for ishita's condition and picked her in his arms , he hided her in him and spoke " nahi beta ,aisa nahi bolte , aapke kaaran kych nahi hua hai , it was destined to happen."

Ru(still crying )- papa please mumma se bolo na ki wo jaldi theek ho jaaye .

R- haan beta main bol dunga ,now you do home with dadu and dadi .

Ru- aur aap .

R- I will be with mumma ,so that if she wakes ,I will inform you all .

Talking so they came out of the room , Raman gave ruhi to his father and asked

" papa did police get any leads about the kidnappers. "

Mr bhalla - not yet , they wanted to take ruhi's statment as she was eye witness but I denied as ruhi was not in a condition to talk to them .

R- theek kiya aapne papa .

They were still talking when they saw police inspector was standing there with two constable .They were talking to a man , Mr bhalla and Raman looked at eachother and walked to them . Raman greeted the inspector and spoke " hello Inspector. "

PI - oh hi Mr Bhalla .how is your wife ?

R- she is still in coma .

PI- hope she get well soon .

He then looked at Mr bhalla while he asked

" so inspector did you find something ,who were the people who tried to kidnap our ruhi and why."

PI- yeah we are doing our work and got to know that a human trafficking gang is active these days in our city . They kidnap kids and women ,and then send them to other places for different reasons . Its your good luck that your DIL and granddaughter are safe .

Mr Bhalla - are you sure inspector.

PI- yeah ,why did you asked ?

Mr bhalla- just to be sure that it was a coincidence that they were caught and it was not the doing of any enemy .

PI- we tried to interrogate all the possible enemies and rivals with you people but seems they don't know about this.

Mr bhalla - thankyou inspector but I want them to be arrested soon .

PI- we had got CCTV footage from your society and working on it ,probably we will catch them soon.

Mr bhalla - yeah I want them to be punished as they had ruined my happy family .

PI- I m so sorry for that Mr bhalla, by the way how is your grand daughter, can we talk to her .

Mr bhalla turned towards Raman,he nodded and said " yeah inspector ,she is here only ."

He then looked at ruhi and called her ,she walked to him ,he picked her in his arms and spoke " rooh beta ye inspector uncle hain. He will punish those goons ,who attacked you and your mumma . So please answer their queries. Ok ."

Ruhi nodded and the inspector started interrogate ruhi . She answered whatever she remembers and again her eyes got moist recalling the incident . The inspector stopped and spoke " thankyou somuch beta for your help.."

Saying so he went from there, then Mr bhalla too went back home with ruhi and toshiji ,while Raman stayed back in hospital with ishita .

Days started passing , ishita state was improving but a very slow speed while the baby in her womb was growing normally like other babies of normal mothers . The kidnappers who tried to kidnap ishru were caught, kidnapping and attempt to murder case was filed on them . The case was still in court while police was yet to catch the whole trafficking gang . They were working on them.Three months had passed,bhalla's has started living life without ishita . Toshiji started doing all tge works alone ,ruhi started going to school ,Raman too has started going to his office but non of them had forget ishita . Raman has almost left the house as he was hardly home . In the day time he was in office and after that he directly goes to hospital and stays with ishita, senior bhalla and ruhi too visit hospital daily . In a sense it has become their second home . Many times Raman thought to talk to doctor about shifting ishita home but stopped as it was not only ishita but baby too . They were taking good care of them and he don't want any carelessness in that case .

Raman sat beside ishita ,held her hand and said " hey jaan ,how are you doing .I know you will not answer my question but I still asks this daily in a hope that may be someday you would respond back to me . It has been four months since that incident and you being in this condition. You remember we always talked about your pregnancy days and I always teased you that how I m going to handle your carvings . But you know I m missing all those , maine kitna socha tha ki tujhe kaise kaise pamper karunga , I also thought what crazy cravings you would crave forbut see nothing is there . You are not asking for a single thing ,no nausea, no morning sickness ,no cravings ,no pampering nothing . I m so missing you jaan please come back . I want you to feel this pregnancy period as I know you always wanted that . Please come back ishita please . You know yesterday they did your ultrasound and I saw our baby ,it is very small ,just like a small black dot . I was so worried as it didn't showed any movement but then the doctor gave earphone to me ,I put them and tgen I heard the most beautiful voice . You know what was it ,our tiny babies heartbeat .Main to khud ko rok hi nahi paaya ,I started crying . Tu bhi sunegi ,I got that in my mobile phone ."

Saying so he put the earplug in her ear and turned the voice on, in a hope that may be she can react and she did reacted . He saw tears drops flowing from corner of her eyes , he smiled a bit knowing that she is listening to him . He kissed the back of her palm and said " bas ishita ,ab aur intzaar nahi hota .come back ."
