On a serious note if you want something from Duryodhan's point of view, read translations of Bhasa's Urubhangam.

Although he has changed the ending yet more of less they kept the character intact, yet presented from Dury's POV

In fact Dusshashan asks Dury on why didn't he ask Karna to do the dirty work instead of him(to show that he wasn't a good brother)

But why include a love story is my problem. Just because a person is good doesn't mean you need to love him/her

Because it makes people connect with these characters, love stories work

Like Money Heist, Tokyo is insufferable but I see shippers who don't want to see anything but Tokyo and Rio ruining everything
