Shanoo is a casting director, she goes around the country trying to find new talent, that's her job. Whenever she finds someone that she thinks has potential she gets their number and calls them when there is a role for them. Knowing her doesnt mean you are an insider, she has found many outsiders aswell. Bhumi was just working as an assistant for shanoo, shanoo thought she would be good for dum laga ke so she gave her name to adi chopra, that doesnt make bhumi an insider or a nepo kid

Even sidharth malhotra was working with kjo as an assistant director, they just happened to be at the right place at the right time

Shanoo doesnt give chance to a nobody..she is YRF agent, her job is to spot and train nepo kids..there were articles on this in the forum and people have discussed this in length. See the thing is the term nepotism is quite layered and complicated..there are the star kids, who gets easy breaks but also come with lot of pressure, then there are the indusyry kids, who have same advantages but less pressure as they do not have star/actor parents to be compared to. Then there are the complete outsiders who have no contacts or networks at all...Ranveer is an industry kid, this is quite evident and accepted by most people now...but yes he has proved himself over times so he deserves his place.

I have to say that not all nepo kids are bad actor.

Sunny, Sanjay, Ajay, Hrithik, Shahid are pretty good actors.

Problem is when bad/mediocre actors are hyped and they get work just because they are connected.

I don’t count Shahid, Ajay as nepo kids. Same with Alaya, Shraddha, etc they have may have industry connections but that doesnt necessarily mean they are getting nepotistic benefits

If it’s like that we can also say Kartik gets nepotism benefits too because Luv keeps casting him again and again
