PM has conceded the Indian side of the LAC to China. What a shocking letdown. What did those brave soldiers die fighting?

This is the best news ever. Probably was the vilest person on Twitter even more than Trump.

Sorry to hear that, Aish. I think that is the case, everywhere. Many doctors in the US also just like pushing pills especially when it comes to mental health. I think you should give it a try again. While SSRIs are commonly used because they are fairly safe, you should have been offered cognitive behavioral therapy as an option, too. Maybe another physician would be more open minded. Does not hurt to try again.

I think I'll give it another shot too..this time I'll dig a bit deeper on who to go to. The pills also have such side effects, can even worsen anxiety is wrongly prescribed. I think what got me mad was he barely took any time before giving me the prescription.

Aah no wonder. The situation of private practice with respect to therapy is grim in this country. They just want more clients. And half of them are not skillful enough either.

I urge you to try again. Many people's first experiences with therapy don't go too well. But just like we get second opinions for physical problems, you should try again. And this time try hospitals. Every reputed hospital has an in-house counselor or psychologist. These people usually treat patients who go through heavy physical ailments. They work with physical therapists too. They would give you medicines as the last resort and teach you survival tools/skills.

I actually expected a private center to be better...my bad. I did the really stupid thing of trying an online counselor too..due to the lockdown restrictions. Big mistake.
