Celebrate his life and his achievements...don't give attention to those who are trying to seek their 2 mins of fame from his passing away

One of my friends was diagnosed with it a year back (She's better now). Plus my college had seen two students dying of suicide previously. It was a huge deal here. The lockdown isn't helping either.

My college's Dean conducted a lecture on mental health today and I feel a lot better now. Your and Lavy's posts helped plenty too.

My college's Dean had to arrange a special lecture on depression and mental health. (We've had two students/seniors already jumping off the building previously due to it)

Sorry to hear that........... I saw the news in one of the news media from here..........it looked like the investigation was going on......so now they know the cause........

Awareness does help and people should come out of stigma that depression is something to hide............it should be treated as like other diseases......we have been very vocal.......made sure authorities understood.....we all who are providing medical help and through this COVID crisis...also need help and support.........few of our colleagues........also took their lives.........

A bollywood actor, Sushant Singh Rajput, who started his journey from television died by suicide. He was only 34....he had depression. Speculations say that it was because he was an "outsider" from the bollywood industry so he was mistreated and wasn't getting work. He didn't belong from a powerful family or have connections...he made it big solely on his talent. He was a really genuine and intelligent guy among shallow people who couldn't understand him. His death is now bringing in light the issue of mental health as not many people openly talk about it.

Did he seek medical help? Were his family aware of it? Unfortunately bureaucracy.........exist everywhere.....some do well.....some survive....some elope...some merely....few succumb.........
