Maze ajoba mill kamgar hote..idk much as I was not born that time but my grand parents n parents used to live in BDD chawl..later we shifted Kanjurmarg n for some years lived in Ghatkopar..now lives in Navi Mumbai.

I studied from king George/IES Bhandup Datar colony and Swami shamanad highschool Ghatkopar

Mumbai madhe tumhala actually Bharat darshan hota.. kanjur madhe we actually used to get that Xmas ka feeling because of Christian community..in Ghatkopar gujju and ghatavar rahnare loka jast aahet.

I did my jr colg from Ruia so gala chi Franky was my favourite. Ruia cha Rose day famous aahe..but tyancha quadrangle far chota hoto ata..ppl can't fit there during celebration coz dj party aste ani akshrsha eka group cha manus dusrya group barobar nachayla lagto.

Coming to Thane and Dombivli. I did graduation from central line madhe down side chya colg Madhun so Thane ani Dombivali amhhala Xerox kadhnyasathi favourite hoti.

Khup notes Che Xerox kadhlyanatr thana colg chya ithli Franky naitr appetite momos khayche. Atahi kadhi friends milun bhetaych tharala tar we meet at thane.. because it's middle point for us. But certainly I kinda dislike Thane now specially GB road for its traffic coz my office is there 😆

And coming to navi Mumbai.. I love it.. mostly coz of its space and infrastructure

Good news..15 June pasun श्रीयुत गंगाधर tipre he serial puna suru होणार आहे. 7.30pm laa.

Kaal me home minister and padhye यांचे shows pahile. Puppet show kahi titaksa jamoon nahi ala. Pan home minister thik hota.

Aso...kahi tari prayatna karat ahet industry wale....hope ki sagala neet ani सुरळीत होईल .

I too watched the puppet show for a short time. But was really disappointed. The way it was handled is EXACTLY SAME as it was in the 70's and 80's on DD.

I thought puppet show was like 800 khidkya serial. So I switched to another channel after 3-4 minutes.

@iluvusakshi, I am talking of the one horse tanga service which was from from Thane west and going up to jambli naka etc. This was much before rikshas came into the picture. I normally used to walk from Thane station to school but if I got delayed I used to take the Tanga from station to school.

I cannot resist but tell the story of a tangewala... This story revolves around the famous French bridge near Raghavwadi at Gamdevi ( Girgaum)

...Rumour followed a fire in the Goculdas stables fatally burning some horses. Months after, local lads asking a ganderi wala at the French Bridge for sugarcane were shocked. The palm he scooped to weigh their pieces was a horse hoof. Scared witless, the boys bolted to a waiting Victoria. The hand that tongawala extended to help them up was yet another horror of a hoof!

Thiis story was often told to cousins by my grandmother when we wouldn't sleep at night ...Later I found many versions to this tale !
