LOL nahin yaar, agar budget ki kami hoti toh she would keep repeating the 2-3 outfits....kinda like Nakku only had 3-4 outfits in LTL that she kept repeating😆
But yahaan toh I've noticed that Heer is in magenta clothes every other scene....not even just the casual ones....the suit that Prem gifts her - also magenta😆, every outfit she wears in the shaadi functions/random parties - all magenta😆 except for that one red one from the engagement.
I wonder if they were trying to indicate that pink/magenta is the color of love, that is why Heer is always in those colors?😆

LOL yeah I know you were kidding only.....but I got your point ki compared to most stories, it moved faster....yet even then, jarring nahin lagaa. I guess props to HC also cuz he enacted Prem's emotions quite well.

PH had a lot of intense eyelocks but somehow they didn't put me to sleep like the long ass eyelocks in most Gul shows 😆.....the one you mentioned from when Manmeet took Heer away by the hand and Prem was heartbroken watching her leave and the way he even stepped forward a bit as if to follow her.....that was a well directed bit.
Even the direction feels like it was better back in those days😆
i think what made them Bearable for us was they weren't hyperactive either functioning only on hormones there was the tehraav that was needed in those eyelocks too to form a connect even though the slo mo made them even longer but they were nicely supported by the edit team with the music and pacing bila wajah ghanta ghanta nahi ghoor rahe thay altough i was irritated by their transitions woh movie maker wali😆
direction defiantly was better i esp was always a fan of the top angle they show in most of these scenes also the actors all of them seem interested in happenings so that helped too aaj kal toh start se hi ego clashes and interest lost ho jaata hai sirf fashion parade ke liye aate hain soaps main so they can inc their IG following
The angst in this the way he jataoos full haw and the moment she says manmeet he leaves it in shock and goes idk what has happened to me 😆 Poor Prem 😒 Starting from the jail track they were On Fire and already a lot has changed in terms of the show as a whole product one can see the quality improvements on the whole too.
I love the jail wala scene where he is all i have faith in you but being indirect so well done esp the ansoo bit him taking her tears away but shedding his own tear later when manmeet shows up. acn't wait to read your thoughts on it. Also i am mighty bothered by the random SUraj hua maddham earlier in the episodes gosh it never felt that noisy and loud and annoying to me before it was so UGHHHHHH here . while o re piya adds this poignancy and is soothing while hitting the right chords SHM was just darn WTH seriously What was Ekta on withe her k3g obsession am just glad she stopped at KDMHMD hi with that and didn't take it forward to her other 50 thousand shows liek her other kabhi na karaar aaya wala gaana 😆

OMG those transitions are friggin hilarious🤣.....especially that one they were using with four corner boxes and weird merging back and forth😆.....deffo pretty amateurish looking.
Re: eyelocks....yeah you are right, they were still ok cuz they weren't used in a hormonal sense like Gul shows....and music and edit deffo supported it well in terms of weaving in.
The top angle shots....haha yes those were deffo interesting. But just overall one gets a sense that the direction was very focused even for such a large cast....they focused a lot on the intensity of little moments and gestures. Aaj kal the laziness in the direction of most shows is just very obvious. Back then, even though these shows were being produced on a mass scale by Ekta ke PHs, they all seemed to have more focus in execution.
I've watched kaafi aage tak forward kar kar ke cuz I started to lose some patience 😆.....the family melodrama really got out of hand around the time of Prem confessing to his dad that he loves Heer....matlab it was a public confession and the dad is like, you still gotta marry Ash cuz I said so😕😆.....and woh Prem mandap mein baith ke, phir se uth gaya just to beat up Manmeet and shout that he will marry Ash, but he won't let Manmeet marry Heer😆.....then woh chachi beating up Heer and the whole Mohabbatein overload with random dialogues about duniya ki nafratein, dilon mein chahatein😆.
Prem became a more confused aatma after they left the house....matlab they are randomly living in some place but suddenly PH are more awkward with each other even after big public confession and hugs😆....he's randomly standing in the rain outside the house even though there is a verandah with a roof outside the front door😆. Must say though, such a chill trio PH and Meher were.....ek scene mein Prem shirtless ghoom raha hai and Meher doesn't even blink....aaraam se baat kar rahi hai with him and Heer standing there😆
It got weird cuz waise toh bade tashan se ghar se nikla Prem yeh bol ke Heer ko support karega but when she ends up proposing to him, he's like I can't marry you? Hain?😆....hell contrived that was.....and then the fact that his mom had to order him to propose to Heer🤔😆.....tooooo much melodrama of the mom and dad in that phase.
Then it got EVEN weirder....like WTH was that entire Ajmer track?😆....Heer flying in the wind?🤣 A whole epi of the dad dreaming that Heer is dead and Prem is committing suicide with her?😆 Random TITANIC ripoff with Prem laying Heer on some door floating in the river and then supposedly fainting next to her?😆 And next epi mein Heer faking MEMORY LOSS?🤣 I had to take a break after that cuz I was like 😆
And so many other weird things happening in between....Preet faking that he got Ash pregnant and Chachi believing this and getting blackmailed into helping him reunite Prem with the taklu dad?😆
Too many brothers and sisters and their extended families floating around😆....the Junejas ke five kids, Chachi ki two grown daughters, both with their romantic drama😆, then Heer and Meher, then that Nihal jo bhi hai....matlab the sheer number of storylines is something😆....aur phir woh Rishab villain bhi aa gaya....isko dekh ke mujhe sirf Bhaskar Bharti wala role yaad aata hai iska....even though he was Vikram in BALH too😆

Nice gifs, Fary! The rasta roko part two with Prem again trying to ask Heer why she is so sad was a nice one.....yes, Heer started using Manmeet's name as a shield in that phase and Prem would get pissed off and upset each time she did😆
Haan this was an intense phase....the jail scenes were good....wahaan tak it was all actually making some sense also in terms of the silent intensity and sacrificing from both sides. Then it got dumb when Heer got extra dumb with her Manmeet worship simply to push Prem away.....lol
Suraj hua Maddham did show up randomly but man, I suddenly missed the song a lot when I heard it.....haven't heard it in so many years😆....O re Piya and Hum hain iss pal deffo suited their scenes more.
Oh and as for Kabhi na sukoon aaya....lol she was able to reuse it for the next 15 years cuz that was iske apne PH waali movie ka gaana😆.....the other movie songs she had to pay money for, that is why they didn't get repeated beyond one show that much😆
