OMG I am not sure what the essence of his character was suppose to be there. Another film where I got reminiscence of his Koi Mil Gaya character.

exactly Mughal-E-Azam had over 10crores(100million) footfalls in its life times in its time. The others only Mother India, Sholay and Bahubali 2 have that feat. It's not even an comparison. Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna kiya is still a song which is relevant, and especially when 377 was removed, people were storming YouTube and playing this song.

People when they do skits and play Akbar, always refer to Prithivi Raj's Akbar and not HR's.

Like I said I do recognize that Mughal-E-Azam is the more iconic film and probably the better film. It is why I always tried to give it due respect while explaining my preference. But for that point in particular, Hrithk and Prithivi Raj both played Akbar at two different points in his life. Of course an older Akbar would be different from the passionate young Akbar in his prime.

Prithivi Raj is undoubtedly the better actor, shouldn't be compared to Hrithik and obviously gave the better performance. In terms of characterization, both films did justice to what I have read about Akbar as a history buff. He was the most fair and just Mughal ruler.

Like that Mughal e azam had a re run in theatre stage and was success again

10 crores that time in 1960 must be like 740 crores or more in 2020

Definetly the older Akbar has more recall value than a younger one always

I am not sure why but when someone says Akbar i remember aged Akbar not younger

This must be because of Akbar birbal stories because Akbar meant everywhere that old wise king not some young romantic guy like HR always

K Asif had spent a crore on Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya which was equivalent to the sum of budget of few films.

I was just re-watching this after years.. and damn

1. Madhubala is stunning, and so so graceful. Look at the way she twirls across the hall, that is so obviously one shot. To think that she danced like this while she was critically ill, RESPECT.

2. Prithviraj Kapoor's acting prowess is so visible in this song. The way he looks at Madhubala, if looks could kill, THIS WOULD BE IT.

3. The set. The grandeur. The colours. 👏👏
