Omg so many memories of shivaji park... I used to stay there for 16 years right from my childhood before shifting to goregaon....

Aswaad, Prakash hotel, Visawa, hanging around at chowpatty, eating frankies and chat in sp, having vadapavs and pepsicola at gymkhana... Visiting ganesh maidan... Etc... All that area is still my nostalgic moment.... Plaza, portuguese church, my schools were ashlane first, and then modern English.... I can go on and on...

Thanks Dhanu. Its these matchbox size stores that have some nice homemade peeth, masala and other stuff. BTW, kuchkat asne is a prerequisite to own or run a Marathi store....😃

You are in Goregaon! East or West? I grew up in Goregaon East. There was vadapav by Kirti college if I remember. My Maushi lived near Prabhadevi.

Yes so i think it was popular for falooda esp for train commuters from dadar station

I do not know the scene now but in 1995 when I did a internship project with Bajaj auto at Nigdi( Pune) , it was a common practice that a few workers there from neighbouring companies such as Telco , Bajaj tempo etc would set up stalls in the evening ... They would dish out the crunchiest and most fluffiest vada pavs served with fried chilli ... A few night shift workers would also serve misal pav in the morning ..

Whenever we visited pune due to 100s of relatives there, we always went to roopali n vaishali for snacks... i liked the outdoor garden seating arrangement in vaishali

Shreyas or some other name i dont recall restaurant in deccan had good club sandwiches n my bro enjoyed the burger

I guess they changed the name ... it used to be called i e s english medium school aka king george cos other branches were called ashlane , pinto , new english bandra etc

All those branches had weird nicknames😂
