Chapter 14
Hubli
It's been awhile since they had started their trip to Bangalore. Siddharth and Roshni took turns in driving, most of the time the silence in between them would be filled with soft melodies or snores of the other free person, or the both laughing at some joke.
As they step out of the car on the road side tea shop for a short break.
"aah" Siddharth groans as he cracks his muscles while bending o get rid of that tiredness. While Roshni hugged herself as the cold wind brushed her.
"bhaiya do chai" he orders and sits with Roshni on the bench.
"tired?" he asks as he sees her stretch her arms.
"very much" she nods rubbing her sides to prodce some heat.
Seeing her being cold he moves next to her and wraps his arm around her shoulder as she is pulled to him.
"who's driving next?" he asks.
"I'll drive"
"you sure?"
"yeah"
"chaha" [tea] a small boy handed two tea glasses to SidNi.
"mmm" both relished the flavor of the tea.
After finished the tea they get into the car, she starts the car as he takes rest.
"prepare something for your meeting na" she said after sometime.
"karungi baba, lekin ab nai" he says admiring the sceaneries passing through them.
She turned on the radio and heard only Kannada songs.
"what?!...oh we are in Karnataka na" she said turning of the radio. "Siddharth koi ganaa chala do na"
"wait" he then connected the aux cable in his phone to the media set.
He adjusted his seat so that he lays back gazing the shining sun through the sunroof.
Badtameez Dil from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani started playing. She looked at him the next second the song started to play.
He realised that her gaze was on him, with his eyes closed he said,
"manaa main handsome, generally ladki yon ko mujhe dekhe kuch dyaan nahi rehate, you still should watch the front and drive and not me" he smirked only to get a hit from her on his arm.
"ouch, pagal....waise am I that handsome today ki all your attention is towards me only" he smirked.
"Roshni" he looked at her to had this dazzled look. "Roshni" he shook her getting her out of the trance.
"huh haan" she blinks.
"what happen? you okay?"
"um...yes...I just zoned for minutes...anyways you were telling?"
"why what happen?"
"the song" she replies making him to remember the memory she was thinking about.
Flashback
"Roshni leave this station" he speaks driving through the busy roads of London/
"no not this" she says while changing the staion much to his displeasure.

SidNi were on a small trip as they had a week off from the college.

"okay, but please don't play melody songs then I'll sleep phir gaadi apni aap chalegi kyunki i'm not giving my car to you again"
"oye, what's with girls and melody songs, even boys hear melodies okay, and girls like me like the other types of songs not just melodies" she hit him.
"kyun marre rahi ho bichara ko, even I like melodies but not now"
"okay what do you wanna hear" she said connecting the aux cable.
"but isn't this your reign" he mimicked her voice.
"haha...yes it is, fine..." she was selecting songs with a cute wala pout.
"awww, isn't she looking too cute with that pout...how can she be manage to be cute, hot, and all the synonyms of that at the same time...ufff.....oohh she is biting her lips and pouting again, how I so want to kiss that pout...wait what Siddharth duffer, stop it, she is your friend that's it, stop all this non sense" he jerked of the thought.

They then spot a teenage boy sitting beside their car in a bike, near Roshni's window
"OMG dude, even though that was a totally different language that was fantastic, you both have a great future"
"but how did you hear?" she asks the boy.
"the window was open and your voice came out"
"oh okay"
"please close your windows properly, by the way your voice and you look awesome" he flirted.
"oh really, thank you" she replied.
Siddharth was feeling jealous seeing some guy flirting with her.
"what's your beautiful name?"
"mine" she saw Siddharth burning from the corner of her eyes, "i'm Roshni, Roshni Patel, and you are?"
"hi i'm Johnathan Mathew, you can call me John, girls call me like that usually" he winks at her.
Even though she felt disgusted with that guy's presence she continued flirting to make Siddharth jealous.
"heyy John" she spoke.
"my name sounds awesome from you"
"how about you pronounce mine?"
"Roshni right"
"yeahh, you know i've just realised that my name sounds amazing only from yours"
"oh the signals' green, um...can I have your number" he asked.
"uhh ye" she was about to reply when she was interrupted by him.
"NO" Siddharth shouted closing her windows and accelerating the car.
She smirked.
He didn't speak a word.
She coughs, "yeh dhuaan kahaan se arren, kuch jalra hai kya" she said while moving her hands in the air to move the imaginative smoke.
She then looked at him, "kuch jalraha hai kya".
"Siddharth" he ignored her.
"Siddharth"
"you are gonna see me or not" she pouted.
He still didn't look at her.
"okay if you are not gonna look at me then..."
She rolled down her window, "heyy John" she called out.
Siddharth immediately turned to find 'John' pulling to the speed of the car.
"your number?" he asked again.
"get the hell lost" he said closing the windows.
She burst out laughing.
"oh god Siddharth, kitni jal rahi ho tum" she laughed.
He looks at her and the next second all the jealous, anger and possessiveness vanishes.
"your face OMG hahaha"
"oye stop laughing or"
"or" she said while still laughing,

"or I'll do this", he pressed the brake quickly making the car stop with a jerk.
As a result she hit her head in the dashboard.
"mujhse panga mat lena, samjhi" he smirked.
But that smirk soon turned into frown, "Roshni"
"Roshni" he saw that she was not getting up.
"Roshni" he spoke, poking her shoulder, "get up"
"arre maine mazaak kiya"
"Roshni" he stops the car and gets off the car.
He opens her door which causes her to fall in his arms.
"R...R...Ro...Roshni...Roshni uto na...Roshni I was playing with you yaar....Roshni" he patted her cheeks but there was no response from her.
He then sprinkled water on her face, "Roshni wake up" his voice was teary.
"huh" she woke up slowly.
"Roshni" he hugged her tightly.
His eyes were full of tears and her eyes full of happiness with a wide smile on her face.
When he backed of from the hug, the smile was replaced by sadness or should I say fake sadness.
"Roshni you okay na?" he cups her cheeks.
"Roshni" she faked her anger on his actions, "Roshni yaar, i'm sorry" he got up and held his ears with his hands.
"yeh dekho i'm sorry, one" he did sit ups.
"two...three....four....five..."
He then came near her,
"Roshni i'm really sorry, pata nahin kya guss gaya tha mere mann main, I just got a mini heart attack to see you like that, i'm really sorry...okay I accept it I was jealous okay, seeing you flirting with that stupid ass was making my blood boil, i'm really sorry, ab toh maaf kiya"
Roshni smiled, "i'm so sorry yaar"
"i'm sorry too"
"for?"
"for flirting" she laughed making him also laugh.
"yeah for flirting" he rolled his eyes.
Flashback Ends
"you remember" he said
"you still have the same playlist?" she asked.
"well my best friend created it how can I delete it?"
"best friend" she muttered.
"won't you rap now?" she asked.
"I will, but only if you promise to sing just like the old times, will you" he forwarded his hand.
"okay" she kept her hand on his.
Bangalore
It was a 8 hour travel from Hubli to Bangalore. It was noon when they checked in the hotel.
"uhh..." Siddharth was searching for the room, "yeah this one, come" he called out for Roshni who was mesmerized by the infrastructure.
They went inside the room.
And god wasn't the room looking just so wow.
"wow" Roshni admired the wall paintings.
"do you like it?" he asks seeing her eyes lighting up.
"I love it" she screeched.
Siddharth smiled as this was the first time she saw his work in the company.
"well I must say Siddharth, you have a hell lot ta talent....all this works, it's just amazing"
"well the credits go to my best friend" he came closer to her, "if you didn't support me through my struggles then this would have not been possible for me, thanks Roshni, thank for always being there for me, thank you for supporting me, and finally thank you for being my best friend" he said.
Tears filled her eyes.
She hugged him, and even he reciprocated the hug.
"you've changed" she said while backing away from the hug.
"like?"
"there was this time whenever I said thank you or sorry you used to scold and also flirt with me but now...times have changed hai na"
"yes times have changed but not the characters" he smiles looking at her smiling yet teary face.
She faced him looking into his dark brown eyes filled only with love.
"don't make me cry, you go take rest, I'll come back" he said leaving.
"where are you going?"
"after so long i've come here, my first building, so I'll just check on everything, you take rest bye" he nods at her before leaving their suite.
