Part 40

Its being much time,ishita's operation was still going on while Raman and Mr Bhalla was waiting for operation to get over but it was taking long . Raman was getting impatient while Mr bhalla was going on consoling him . After a long wait for three hours,finally the operation got over and the doctor came out . Raman went to him and asked about ishita ,he answered " I m sorry Mr Bhalla ..Mrs b."

Before he could say something Raman loosed his patience listening to it and dropped himself on the bench when Mr Bhalla asked " what are you saying Doctor , Ishita.."

Dr- please listen to me ,Mrs Bhalla is alive but as she was hit in head ,some of her brain nerves has been damaged . We had done the operstion but it depends on her body that how soon it responds to our medication . The soonest she responds , soonest she will recover but till then ,I think she won't gain her consciousness. "

Mr bhalla- I don't get your point Doctor.

Dr- In simple words we can say that she us in coma and can only return back to her conscious when her nerves will be cured

Mr bhalla - how long it will take .

Dr- can't say ,it depends on her body ,was she in some medication.

R- yeah ,she was , she was taking medication for her infertility. Is there any problem doctor .

Dr- No ,I asked so that I can prescribe medicines according to it .

R- how is she now .

Dr- she is stable but not responding ,lets hope for the best .

Saying so the Doctor left leaving a broken Raman behind . After sometimes ishita was shifted to ICU ,Mr bhalla saw ishita from outside while Raman went inside ,he sat there for sometimes, talked to her and then started crying . He sat there for long time ,till the nurse told him to wait outside.

On the other hand ruhi got shocked after the incident ,though she was not physically hurt but she had got mental shock, she was sitting in one position without talking to anyone . Though toshiji tried to console her alot but she didn't responded ,she was only saying ishita's name again & again.

Listening to ishita's condition and seeing ruhi's state , toshiji couldn't hold herself , she ran towards the house temple and broke into tears . She prayed to Matarani for ishru wellness for long then again went to check ruhi and found she had already slept in sitting position itself .

The day any how passed,after long Raman told Mr bhalla to go home and take care of ruhi and toshiji while he stayed with ishita in hospital . Mr bhalla had seen Ramans condition after knowing ishita's state so he told toshiji not to say anything about Ruhi , either he won't be able to take it . Toshiji anyhow fed ruhi and made her sleep with them ,ruhi did everything as her grandparents says but didn't spoke a word.

Next morning the doctor called Raman and said " Mr Bhalla ,I know you are going through a bad stage because of your wife's condition but I have a very good news for you ."

R- good news ? Is ishita recovering fast ?

Dr- I m afraid ,its nothing to do with Mrs Mrs bhalla's recovery but it is related to her only .

Raman become sad and spoke " what can be a good news other than that ."

Dr- we just recieved all the test reports of your wife and we got to know that she is three weeks pregnant .

Raman was not expecting this news so he asked again"sorry Doctor,I m bit confused or may be I didn't listened you ,what did you just said ? ."

Doctor smiled a bit and spoke " yes Mr bhalla you heard it right ,your wife is pregnant and you people are going to be parents ."

Raman smiled for a while but next moment his smiled vanished and he became tense . He looked ay Doctor and asked " but sir , ishita is unconscious, how the baby will survive. "

Dr- you don't have to worry about it,the baby will survive with the same way your wife is surviving.

R- I didn't get you doctor .

Dr- we will be keeping your wife and baby alive by medication .

R- is it possible .

Dr- yeah ,it is possible rather I would say its good for the baby because with your wife's medical condition she would had been any how prescribed for total bed rest ,so its totally ok. We will take care of it .

R- what about the birth ,how will you deliver the baby .

Doctor smiled a bit and said " thats long Mr bhalla ,hope for the best ,may be your wife will perhaps gain conscious before that and can deliver normally ."

Raman nodded ,he smiled a bit thanked the doctor and went from there . Today both Toshiji and Mr bhalla has come to see ishita ,Mr bhalla saw Raman and asked "what happened Raman, what did the doctor says ?"

R- what should I say Papa ,ishita has been waiting for this news from long and now when we get the news ,she is not in a condition to rejoy the moment .

T- we don't get you puttar ,what are you telling about ?

R- Ma ishita is three weeks pregnant.

T(happily)- tu sach kah raha hai puttar .

R- haan ma ,lekin is khusi ka kya faayda jab mera poora ghar hi bikhar gaya hai .Here ishita is laying unconscious there ruhi has become all silent. Main kya karoon is khusi ka ma ,kiske saath share karoon ye khusi.

He spoke with moist eyes ,toshiji hugged Raman and spoke " aise dil chota na kar puttar ,sab theek ho jaayega ."

They had already told about ruhi in the morning when he saw only his parents not ruhi and asked about her . Toshiji recalled how ruhi always used to talk about having a little brother or sister and said" I should tell this news to ruhi ,may be she will respond . Agar sab theek raha to main use apne saath hospital bhi le aaungi ."

Raman just nodded and went inside to tell this news to ishita with a hope that may he she can respond listening to this news . He entered the room and his eyez become teary instantly ,he slowly walked towards ishita's bed and sat in the stool beside her . Then took her hand in his and spoke kissing the back of her plam " ishita , suna tumne doctor ne kya kaha ,but how can you listen ,tu to yahaan padi hai . You know Doctor has told that you are pregnant, suna tumne tum ma ban ne wali ho aur main papa . Kya kya socha tha humne , we were so waiting for this moment but never got it when we were expecting it so badly and today when we are got this news we can't even enjoy ."

He looked at ishita for sometimes then said " sun na madrasan kya aalsi ki tarah padi hai ,uth na lets enjoy ,we have been waiting for this so long. Lekin ye bhi therk hai ,tu aise hi rah ,nahi to kuch din rest karne ke baad ,tu bore ho jaayegi phir yahaan wahaan fudakne lagegi ,isse achcha hai ki tu aise hi rah . But you have to promise me ,ki baby ke aane se pahle tu uth jaayegi ,so that we can celebrate our baby's arrival together ."

He remain silent for dome more time then said " ishita you know ruhi has stopped talking to everybody ,she is so scared after yesterday's incident and you know the worst is non but only you can cajole her . Ma had told that she will bring her tomorrow, so please get up till then so that you can talk to your daughter . Sun rahi hai tu meri baat ."

He said being impatient then broke into tears and said " please ishita come back ,nahi ho raha mujhse, is umr mein jab mujhe ma papa ko sambhalna chahiye tha ,they are taking consoling me . They are taking care of us ,ishita please jaan come ,I can't do this alone ."

He talked like this for long and then went out of the room ,told his parents to go home and rest ,while he will stay beside ishita .

On the other hand the investigation has started and police was still in seatch of the culprit, they wanted to interrogate ruhi as she was eye witness but Mr Bhalla denied straight forward. The police inspector accused that they are not helping now and later will mock police that they are not doing their work . For which Mr bhalla folded his hands and answered " we definitely want justice for this and will be glad to help you but now my family is very much shaken up with this accident. My daughter in law is in coma while our ruhi is under stress ,so its a humble request please give us some time . The police nodded and went ,telling Mr bhalla to inform whenever ruhi is ready to talk .

Toshiji then went to ruhi and informed her about the baby ,she got happy listening to this but the moment she heard that ishita is not ok and will not be able to come home ,she became silent again . Tosjiji hugged her tight and spoke " mat ro mera bachcha ,sab kuch theek ho jaayega".

Ru- dadi ye sab mere chalte huya hai ,aagar main apni bus se chali jaati to aisa kuch nahi hota ,haina .

Toshiji now understand why ruhi was so silent she caressed ruhi's hairs softly and spoke " na mera bachcha ,aisi koi baat nahi hai , tujhe pata hai na ,honi ko koi nahi taal sakta puttar . Ye to hona hi tha puttar ,if not by this then may be by some other means but it was destined to do ,so you please don't feel guilty rather you should pray from matarani for your mother's welbeing . Tujhe pata hain na matarani bachchon ki baat jyada sunti hai ."

She consoled ruhi for much time and finally was able to calm her down . She was still sad but not silent and also wanted to visit ishita . Toshiji told her that they will go tomorrow . Ruhi smiled and told that she can't wait to see ishita.
