She may be living in the US but her roots are Indian. She became what she did mostly due to India and even today her biggest audience isn't the US, but India.

Speaking up in US doesn't take a spine because pretty much every celebrity there isn't afraid of talking against the establishment. But in India, they're all cowards. And Priyanka of all people has no shame because she invites a fascist to her own wedding and promotes him because it serves her interests.

At least Sonam is one of the few celebrities who speak up against the establishment, while still living in India, inviting a sea of trolls onto her timeline everyday.

Priyanka has done lots for India over the last 20 years. The US is her new home and she will talk about things that are important to her. Instead of calling out others for what they support and don’t support focus on the actual issue at hand. Finger pointing is easy.

Oh please! Please stop with the she's done lots for India rhetoric. That is not what this is about. Every celebrity does charity. That doesn't excuse the silence she's chosen when Dalits, Muslims and other minorities are brutalized. It is just convenience and performative wokeness at display.
