As Sandy stated it’s an old drama..not current....I finished watching it yesterday...not sure if you both will be ok...from episode 19 it gets intense...overall it’s a different attempt for a Chinese drama which has a touch of the American show criminal minds....the drama is based on 2014 novel by a Chinese writer...there are two volumes...the drama is volume 1 but it has an ending....it’s kind of long (24 episodes) so sometimes it was slow....it had some flaws but taking into account the complexity of the story it’s not such an issue...the only thing that kind of bothered me at first is that the drama has English actors as the story demands it but the problem is that the Chinese actors will speak in mandarin to the English actors and the English actors will reply in English....I think it’s because the Chinese actors can’t speak English and vise versa but they didn’t want to choose other actors so they left the viewers to think that they understand each other although both parties speak in different language...it’s a minus because supposedly the lead male studied in USA in the story...if you can digest intense story/characters then you could try to watch it.
