Actually, it's funny that I'm such a hopeless romantic because my family doesn't support romance/love/dating because it "distracts" you from important thing like your career/studies. There was only one "love marriage" in my family rest are all arranged. My parents threw a huge fit when they learned that I had a crush on a boy when I was ten....I think maybe that's why I'm afraid to date, because I don't want my parents to disapprove. Idk....it's complicated lol I know what you mean though. These are all natural feelings and it's ok to embrace them

That's for me..............now I have a weird work shift and need to work virtually a lot.....but from later this month going to be challenging for me to come now........

Idk there is definitely some cultural and generational difference between my parents and I feel like I assume the worst sometimes when in reality, my parents are pretty chill. But for sure they would not approve of me writing stories...my dad would say, you wasted time on this??? You should've been looking for scholarships!

So actually, my parents had an arranged marriage. Basically, your family acts as a dating app 😆 When they got engaged, they were like friends. They had their share of fights and actually had a rocky start to their marriage due to differences but later resolved things. So in arranged marriage, you fall in love after marriage. But, my parents have actually told me that they want me to find someone for myself rather than doing an arranged marriage....which is kind of a problem since I don't talk to people 😆 so how do I find someone??

Saturday Morning is Friday Night for us...which would work for me because I take off Friday nights anyways to relax and unwind.

@ 1st bold.........Every generation will have a gap with the next one...we need to learn how to deal with it.........you need to learn how to grow up.........have a couple of nice convo with your parents and tell them....you're an adult......you need some personal space........you should have done that by now........initially they'll be traumatized I guess.....but later on, they will get used to......you don't need the approval to do something you like..........

So your family has a dating app?...........Please don't link your experiences with your parents' ones......every relationship is very different............from your writing I can see.... you're getting contradictory signals.......from them.....to get married to someone you need to get in touch...to know someone........long process...if your parents are concerned you're writing a romantic story even still now........I'm confused......at a certain point...you need to take charge of your life..........your parents won't be there always.......
