I honestly thought a few others would have, but plesantly surprised but how socially aware Kareena is and the fact that she has her pulse on racially and socially issues globally. ^I know, all these years and 1000s of names and not even an ounce of justice. The DA of Minneapolis wants to wait for more evidence...like a man died. There is no evidence to justify that.

That video was really all the evidence that was needed

So true, it's saddening to see that in 2020 people are dealing with such issues. It's so brutal. People's mentality is still the same. I don't understand when such people will evolve in a better and positive way.

It's even sadder that this is the 4th racially charged crimed that hit the national news in the past 2 weeks. Which means there must be so much more local injustices.

But I'm so glad Kareena posted. The south asian community needs to be an ally to the black community and I've seen so many young, brown tiktokers saying it's not our problem. It's really sad.

It is worth noticing that she had nothing to say about atrocities happening in her own backyard. She just kept mum throughout the Delhi progrom, attacks on Jamia/AMU, and the various oppressive measures taken against minorities in her own damn country.

She will not face any real backlash on this particular topic, so she jumped the bandwagon. Whereas it would have taken real courage to speak up about issues closer home (remember what Deepika did and the repercussions she had to face as a result?)

Why do people on this forum support HongKong protest but not BLM?

Funny how she or any other Bollywood star didnt speak up when the same was happening in india few months ago.
