OR we have staff which stays with us, because we can afford to keep day n night maid. So we do not have to do all the jharo pocha..but we still gotta do cooking.cannot order, cannot meet friends,family,cant go out. sitting at home may bring in depression..anxiety..

Take Kjo's example. work is at standstill.. films on floor-set is ready cant shoot you loose money. Own script is ready but cant go on floors due to carona and the location--well no more. all actors dates gone on toss. u have a company to run..u have employees. many projects are under discussion and in the midst of all this 2 staff members get infected!

And some one lives under a rock and says : dont understand this culture of having others do your work for you. Its your house, your bed, your kitchen, your toilet but you want others to clean it when you have hours days and weeks now to do housekeeping.

Like dude--he pays them to do ir..we all do. its their job!! they earns ok??

Sorry I cant relate to any of these scenarios I guess if you are super busy have a massive house and can afford it then you have house help. In India house help is a paid job but outside India as I said above including if you are famous you might have house help otherwise there are cleaners for public places.

To be honest its not so difficult if you are physically able and if you maintain cleanliness then you dont have to spend 24 hours doing it.

But if you are so used to having house help doing the work then you will be like this is so difficult. Its not about taking peoples jobs and oh we pay them so let them doing everything. Its about being self sufficient so in situations like today you wont be dependant on others and have such a hard time. Everything in life requires management like we can wash dress ourselves go to work then doing housework also fits into life.

In relation to KJo fine he is busy but im sure he's not working 24 hours on his company and projects when there is a indefinite standstill.

Exactly thats why i said u never know how and when you contract it. There are comparatively less chances of droplets getting into eyes and ears so Mask for others and gloves for yourself coz we have a habit of touching our faces. Therefore washing hands n sanitising is a must.

If I was rich I would’ve had cooks and housemaids too. Housekeeping jobs is needed. Lots of people are losing their income because of covid. I know personally housekeepers getting laid off from their job. But I think they should send covid employees home and give them vacation until they recover. At my job, few of staff supervisors and few got covid, they disinfected the whole company and the supervisor took a vacation hours at home and came back after she recovered from the disease but they still sent everybody in the company home. Kjo and bony should send covid housekeepers home

OMG what did they spray on that poor woman? Why do they do that? Did they listen to that idiot Trump? External sprays will not stop viruses multiplying in her airways. If her servants have symptoms they’ve likely been shedding viruses for a couple days and if she’s going to get it from them, she has already.

On subject of servants...I think it really depends more on how many poor there are and how little the poor have than anything else. In places where there are large numbers of poor people willing to take pretty much any work, you will find maids sleeping on kitchen floors and being glad to have the place. In areas where there are fewer poor or the poor just have better options that wouldn’t happen. Several Indian relations who have come to the US were shocked to find they can’t pay (or treat) servants the same way here. My mother in law thinks my cleaning lady is the laziest woman on the planet but really she’s just a well liked busy (lots of houses) cleaning woman doing only what she’s willing to do for the money I am willing to pay her. If I ask too much or pay too little, she can just get a new job.
