Maan walked in the hospital, carrying Geet in his arms while Dev followed him inside and called for a stretcher. Maan carefully made her sleep there saying, "Call the doctor immediately..!"

"What happened?" A nurse asked looking at Geet.

"She had an accident. Now will you please call the doctor?" Dev yelled at the nurse while Maan was trying to wake her up.

"Sir, it's an accident case, we can't admit her until police comes." The nurse said politely.

That made Maan furious. "What do you mean, you can't.. Do you know who am I..?!" He yelled on the nurse.

"Bhai, relax." Dev tried to calm him down.

"No.. Look.. What's she saying.. Look, if you won't admit her right here, I will call the media and will dishonor this hospital in such way that you will be forced to close the hospital forever." Maan warned to the management when hearing chaos, a doctor came to them asking, "What's wrong there.?!" Seeing Maan, the doctor recognised him. "Mr Khurana you..?"

"Doctor, please check my wife.. She met with an accident." Maan pleaded worried while Dev chuckled mentally as Maan called her ' His Wife '

"Don't worry Mr Khurana.. We'll treat her immediately." The doctor assured him and looked at the nurse saying, "Prepare the ICU immediately."

They proceeded with Geet and entered in the ICU while Maan and Dev left alone outside the room. Dev looked at Maan who was nervously pacing around. "Bhai, relax.. Nothing will happen with her." Maan nodded worried and praying for to God for her safety. "You stay here. I make a call to Prateek and will inform him." Saying this Dev left from there.

Maan was pacing restlessly and every now and then walked towards the cabin and checked her through the glass window. "I am here, nothing will happen with you." He murmured but in next moment, he realised what he said..! Again confusion took over his mind but he decided to ignore it. He reminisced their childhood days, when Geet used to cry whenever she saw him getting hurt or injured and when asking her reason, she used to reply him, "It's hurt me more when I see you in pain." His lips curled in a smile thinking about her reply but immediately his smile faded away as he remembered about his harsh behaviour towards her, he tightened his fist in his guilt just when he heard someone calling him.

Maan turned and saw a nurse standing there with a form, "Sir..?! Can you help me to fill the details of that patient." He nodded. "Name..?"

"Geet.."

"Sir full name?"

Maan looked at Geet through the glass window and reminisced his unwanted marriage. Waited for few seconds, the nurse called him again when he replied, "Geet.. Geet Maan Singh Khurana." He didn't feel any hesitation while adding his name with her.

"Your relationship with her..?!"

"Husband." His lips twitched in a smile while calling himself her husband.

"Sir, please sign on the paper." Nodding to her, he signed on the paper and the nurse left. This whole scene was witnessed by Dev and who was giving a victorious smile to himself as his brother is melting now.

Around half an hour later, doctor came out from the cabin and Maan immediately hurried to him, "Doctor, how's she?!"

"Mr Khurana.. Don't worry. She's out of danger. But as she had excessive blood lose, so she felt suffocation during our treatment, so we gave her oxygen and kept her in observation for next two hours. After that we can give you a proper result." Explaining about her condition, the doctor left when Dev came forward to him saying, "Bhai, you can go home. I am staying the night here."

"No.. No Dev.." Maan replied without a second thought, "You go home.. I'll be with her tonight."

"Are you sure?!" Dev sarcastically asked.

"Yeah, very sure. You go home and inform everyone that she's fine else everyone will be worrying for her." Maan said.

"Okay." Without any argument, Dev agreed as he himself wanted his brother to stay with Geet on her bad time. "If you need anything, call me immediately."

"Yeah..!" Giving a hug to Maan, Dev left.

Maan walked in Geet's cabin and saw her sleeping, without disturbing her, he went to the sofa and settled there - Maan was trying to take a small nap but sleep was far away from his eyes, his mind was completely occupied by one person - that's Geet. He looked at her and remembered how badly she was injured when he brought her here. He rested his head back with his closed eyes and tried to sleep when suddenly a nurse walked in, breaking his sleep. "Sir, her belonging..!"

She handed him her bag which Maan remembered she had with her, when he took her here. "Thank you." Giving them to him, she left.

Maan was going to place the bag on the table when he saw her diary. He looked at her, who was sleeping very peacefully. It was a good chance to read her diary.

He sat of the sofa and opened the page from where he left reading. '... I can't see my Maan with anyone.. How could she dare to get close to him.. ' He just murmured, "Jealous..!!" And looked up at her thinking about their childhood that how much she got jealous since childhood whenever someone tried to come close to him.

Maan turned the page, he read few parts where she shared her feelings about him, Maan gets happy knowing about her feelings. He turned few more pages when he read '... Today dadi came with marriage proposal for me with him. I can't believe it. My dreams come true. I never could express my feelings to him but thank God.. He realised it. Now I'm going to be his only. ' As he read, he only remembered their marriage and afterwards his rude behaviour. He face became guilt ridden.

He couldn't read the diary anymore as he knew in next pages, she must have written about her loneliness.

Maan closed the diary and rested his head back while thinking about her and soon he drifted in sleep.

Around 1hour later, Maan's sleep disturbed in some sound, he slowly opened his eyes and composed himself, he looked on and saw doctor was checking Geet, he immediately gets up from the sofa and ran to her bed asking, "Doctor what's wrong..!"

"Oh.. Don't panic Mr Khurana.. Nurse saw her gaining her sense, so I came here to check her." Doctor informed smiling.

"Now.. Now how's she..?!"

"She's absolutely fine. You can take her home tomorrow. But one thing, her injuries will take some time to heal, so till then you have to keep her in some restrictions. I will prescribing you the medicines tomorrow." Doctor replied.

"Thank you doctor." Maan escorted him outside the cabin and then turned back at Geet who was sleeping very peacefully, Maan walked to her and about to caressed her hair affectionately but stopped his hand in mid way and went back to the sofa.

Next morning, Geet opened her eyes while adjusting with the light and wondered about her whereabouts. She looked around and spotted Maan, sleeping on the sofa in a discomfort way but his presence made her happy. "Did he bring me here..?!" She questioned herself but no one around there to answer her.

Sighing on her own thoughts, she started to get up but due to her back pain, she couldn't and fall back on the bed while moaning.

"Geet...!!" Hearing her moan, Maan immediately got up. He ran to her asking, "Are.. Are you okay..?!" Geet only nodded to him, but her expressions wasn't satisfy him. He yelled, "Who told you to get up..?"

"I.. I'm thirsty." She stammered.

"I was present here, you could have call me." He sighed.

"Okay.. Okay.. Don't be a jwalamukhi now and help me to have some water now." She said all of sudden when Maan amazingly looking at her as she didn't behaved in jolly mood till he returned - he chuckled hearing the odd language from her mouth and thought, "She can't change ever."

Meanwhile Geet also realised her tone of talk and looked down while waiting for his yell as she knew how much he hates her languages. "Oh teri.. You can't change Geet." She bit her lips and looked up at Maan saying, "Maan I'm..."

"If I'm not wrong, you always used this word for me, right..?" Geet widened her eyes on his statement as she didn't expected this polite reaction. "He remembered this..!" She thought while staring at him.

"What do you said.." Maan asked rubbing his forehead, "Jwalamukhi.. Yeah..! What does it mean?"

"Arey jwalamukhi.." She excitedly going to explain him while getting up as she completely forgot about her pain, but her body made her realise the fact that she's in hospital bed - she again lay back in pain.

"Don't get over excited Geet." He warned with a chuckle and helped her to drink the water.

"I didn't expect this reaction from you." She said admiring his charm.

"What reaction?" He flicked his one eye brow at her when she looked down mouthing, "Nothing."

"Okay.. You take rest, I am coming after meeting with the doctor." He said smiling to her and about to leave when Geet held his hand asking, "You're here from last night.. Why?!"

Maan smiled at her saying, "After getting injure in head, you're thinking a lot. Don't stress yourself and take rest." He lessen her grip from his hand and left from there.

After meeting with doctor, Maan returned to Geet when he saw his mother and both brothers were talking with her. "Geet, how did this accident happen?" Dev asked.

"Actually Dev.." As Geet started to say, Maan moved forward to them curiously. "I was on the phone while driving and I just lost my control."

Hearing about her silly actions, Maan's temper arise, he was just going to shout on her but heard his mother scolding her, "Oh God Geet. How could you be so irresponsible..? You always gave us advises but when it comes to you, you don't care about yourself. What if something happened with you yesterday..!" She cried.

"Maa, I'm sorry. But the call was important and I didn't think this would turn out like this. But I promise, I won't repeat this act ever." Geet assured wiping Gayatri's tear and looked up at Maan who gave her convincing smile.

Finishing all the paper works, they discharged Geet. Within few minutes, they reached Khurana mansion, as Prateek stopped the car, Maan helped Geet to gets down from the car by holding her hand very carefully. "Bhaiya became so protective towards bhabhi." Prateek teased which was clearly audible to Maan.

"Yes, he should be.. After all Geet is his wife." Dev replied smiling when Maan remembered he mentioned himself her husband to the nurse and looked at Geet who was already taking glances from him.

"What??!" He asked when she just shook her head in no with a smile and they proceeded inside.

Maan helped her to settled on the bed comfortably. "Are you comfortable?" He asked.

"Yes."

"Geet you take rest.. I'm sending a maid to help you in freshen up." Gayatri said and left the room.

Maan stood there for a while and then asked, "Do you need something? Water or anything." He passed her the glass.

"I'm fine Maan. If I need anything, I'll tell you." She replied taking the glass from his hand and placed it on it's place. "I think you should take some rest. You must be tired."

"No.. I'm fine." He replied yawning.

"Yeah.. That's why you're yawning right?" She chuckled.

"It's just that.." He looked on embarrassed.

"I understand Maan, I know you don't like to stay in the hospital but you still spend a night there for me. Thank you." She smiled at him. Though he wanted to reply something to her but he was confused, himself he don't know why he stayed back. "Now, go and freshen up." Maan said breaking his trance. Giving a nod to her, he left.

Maan was sitting near the pool side facing towards the water, he was lost in his own thoughts when he felt a tap on his shoulder, he looked up and saw Dev was standing there. "Coffee??!" He asked forwarding the cup.

"Thanks Dev.. I really need this." Maan replied sipping the coffee, and saw Dev taking sit beside him, they remained silent for some time.

"Ek din unhe na dekha to dil udas ho gaya.. kuch hi pal me wo itna khaas ho gaya..
ab tak to pata nahi tha mujhe..
lekin unki judai se pyaar ka ehsaas ho gaya.." As Dev started his poetry, Maan simply looked at him asking, "What are you saying?!!"

"Condition of your heart." Dev replied pointing on Maan's heart.

"I'm perfectly fine." Maan said straight looking into his brother's eyes.

"Are you trying to satisfy to whom..? To me or to yourself." Maan blinked his eyes in confusion while Dev continued, "If you're trying to satisfy me then I tell you don't do this because I already aware about your dilemma and if you're trying to satisfy yourself then do it but very soon.. You have to accept the truth." Dev said and saw Maan's confused look.

"Satisfy.. Truth.. What are you saying..?!" He asked confused.

"Bhai, don't you think, you're behaving weird. With whom you didn't even tried to contact in these two years, with whom you weren't behaving nicely in these days, suddenly showing much care, much interest on her." Dev asked flicking his eye brow, though he was just trying to help Maan to hit with the reality.

"Yeah.. Because she's my friend. And moreover if anyone would be at her place, I would have done the same." He replied casually which made angry Dev, "Then where's your friendship gone when you left her without her fault?!" Maan looked at Dev shocked as he was suspecting but not sure that Dev knew everything and like Geet, he pretend to act normal.

"You know what.. Geet was right, you can't force anyone to love you. After getting so much humiliation from you, she still stayed here, took all your responsibility, took good care of your family and what you had done with her in return..?! She had done everything, she changed herself only for you with a hope that one day you will accept her." Dev fumed at Maan.

"But Dev.. I never seen her in such way, she's my good friend. That's it.." Maan said getting up.

"You never tried to identify her. You tried to change her outer beauty only, but never tried to see her inner beauty. Peek inside her, and see how beautiful she is.." As Dev said, Maan just heard him and replied, "There's no need to say all these.. We've decided to inform everyone about our relation after Annu's wedding and will file for mutual divorce. So, I don't think it will helpful to discuss on it." Saying this Maan left from there.

"I hope within these days you realise her importance else you'll loose a precious person from your life." Dev thought and prayed to God for them.

I really don't know what I wrote in this part, especially Dev-Maan part at the end. I myself wasn't satisfy with this part and wanting it could be more realistic but I wrote everything in a hurry.
