Wow, that is absolutely amazing!! I read english translations or analysis that are they are often written by westerners because I can't read Hindi and the trouble with that is that sometimes they sound very dismissive or condescending and it annoys me. I honestly read it from more of a literature perspective rather than religious but still we have certain emotions tied to it.

As you can tell, I'm a bit obsessed with Mahabharat. It scares my parents 😆 Last year, I borrowed the Mahabharat with English Translations from the library because I wanted to understand it better. My parents freaked out because apparently keeping the Mahabharat in your house is considered a bad omen/supersition but I don't believe in that stuff but then I go into an accident a week later and my parents made me return it 😆

@b Yes!😆 They say keeping one at home will cause a Mahabharata in your house! I had a similar experience as you so I read it at my usual bookstore😆

Another interesting character from the MB is Ashwathama. My best friend's bua had an apparent meeting tale with him. Don't know how believable that is but is an interesting story nevertheless. Kabhi sunaongi😆

I too heard that Mahabharat brings in bad luck. My father too had a bad experience with it. When he bought Mahabharat book as a kid his father and uncle had a huge fight and were ready to get separated but when my grandma asked him to return the book the issues resolved peacefully. I find it a coincidence but am no risk taker. I always find a balanced path😆 so I read some parts of it our school library and some via googleji!

To tell you frankly, I love India team more than I ever will an IPL team. I haven't missed a single Ind match since 2015. I don't like the concept of IPL and them having to break my team😭

I too support team India above all other teams! I cried last week because a video on twitter showed the MSD's 2019 WC semi-final innings and reactions after he got out😭

So I watched the 2011 WC vid to pacify my ownself😉

Incase of IPL I support CSK and then MI. CSK because of MSD and team and MI because I love Mumbai!
