The only sad part about this is that TikTok is perhaps the only platform which has no monetary or class boundaries. Literally anyone can be famous there. Rich or poor, if you can 'entertain' you're viral there.

Yea TikTok panders to the lowest common denominator, but its also a class thing no? .. not everyone can afford to make a video and upload it on YT, tiktok is easier and cheaper, so its available to everyone to showcase their talent (and earn money) irrespective of class and financial background... I dont have the app, have only watched some vdos posted on Insta and twitter, most are entertaining...if tiktok could be censored, that would be the best solution I guess.

I checked.. will need movement pass to travel interstate. Problem is for pass they ask for car details. (no. RC) Ab ya to pehle cab book karo aur pass mile na mile ka wait... because rejections bhi ho rahi hai. Only option i could select there was non medical travel... bura phasa.

Yes. Tiktok has the kind of reach that no other platform has which is why it is a game changer. I initially liked the app because of that. But it's very propaganda based. During Pulwama the kind of videos that were coming out woke me up. It's also very communal,sexist and misogynistic- and videos like that so viral too. And during this Covid crisis, it's been a massive fail. The amount of videos where people are out breaking the lockdown to make TikTok videos, where people are throwing masks on the ground and wearing religious skullcaps as protective gear for Corona(Muslims)- thousands of videos like this freely circulating and getting viral- it's a dangerous app now. Heavy censoring is required.
