They have started releasing new movies on digital platform. This will be a major major setback to theater owners. Also allied businesses like restaurants and distributors will be in serious trouble if this practice persists even after the lockdown gets lifted.

There are some special fights allowed to bring back Indians stranded abroad. Many flights arrived from gulf to Kerala. Also few flights arrived in Mumbai from London and US. I am not sure if any flights from Australia still.

Yes, there are a few mercy flights operating ..the Indian embassy has asked the Indians stranded in Oz to register with them at the earliest ,,they will consider only emergency cases also the fares are quite high..

Saw the movie 702 Dixits.. Strongly Recommended.. Excellent thriller... But the script is not adequate and lacks depth... Overall an excellent mystery that grips you from the word go

Even after lockdown is lifted there will be social distancing norms in theatres and multiplexes which will make it nonviable as ticket prices may have to double to cover up for less occupancy. Just as single theatres disappeared after multiplexes came up, after covid we may find multiplexes disappear and streaming will be the norm. That's my guess.

And another problematic thing likely is that any person who lands here may have to be quarantined for 14 days. It would be lucky if they allow home quarantine but if they insist on them going to a quarantine centre, that will be a bit scary.

For the people returning from abraod, they have kept an option to stay in 5 star/ 3 star hotels on paid basis. So, that is not so scary.

Yes, for a short period of time that will be the only option. But, if it becomes a long term thing, the films have to cut down on their budget a lot. No film can dream to rake in 100-200 crores streaming on a streaming platform. Unless they start charging seprately for new movies releasing on the web platforms ( rather than their usual fees for premium content).

So whats the latest. When do u guys think tv crew will resume their shooting?

Though we all know its never goin to be normal henceforth esp always a threat of some or the other virus, its a shame we hv to live under this constant fear of some calamity.

With Mumbai being the hottest among the Red zones, it looks highly unlikely this month at least, unless they shift their shooting to other regions. But will they shift is the big question.
