@bold instead of the season format, I think limited episodes where the show ends after a few months is more suitable. New seasons are only launched if the show is a success. In the west, there are shows which get cancelled after one season hence resulting in an abrupt ending. Also with seasons, the quality of the show begins to decline because after a point, the writers run out of ideas.
Finite shows of 3 - 5 months is a better option in my opinion for ITV.
I agree!! I didn't think of this aspect at allš¤
Reminds me of the last season of GoT š”š
If you've watched it, you'd know that it was such a let down to the entire series! The most awaited final season was downright trashš¬š¬š¬ Now if I go to watch an episode from the previous season, the horrors of the last one plays in my headšµ
So yeah, season format also isn't that great if continued for long... Results in the same damn thing like it does for long running shows! Only hit shows should get a sequel or two and finish with it... (Also, no format can have cent percent success, so there aren't many options to choose fromš¤)
Nevertheless, all these changes don't seem to happen soon in ITVš
