As I said, it’s a face saver. If show fails and it is to be axed due to low ratings, PH and actors can say that ‘it was supposed to be a finite show’. Finite shows don’t exist in ITV for now.

This is what Shruti Seth from recently off-aired show Dil Jaise Dhadke Dhadak Ne Do said about the future of ITV shows and trimming sets.

Here Shruti adds that the TV industry faces an immediate grim future, “There would be huge layoffs with sets trimming down to meet safety guidelines. Actors and technicians would need to double up on skills to stay in the race. Based on my discussions with industry veterans, I don’t see shoots starting before mid-July which too would depend on graph dipping. One possible solution would be taking the entire cast and crew after testing to a single location and locking them up. In such a scenario, the limited series is the only out for how long would the actor be ready to stay away from home? Tight scripts will need to be ready before going on the floor as one once shoot starts no one might be allowed to leave or enter.”

Also another news. FWICE had decided to resume shootings from June end. Confirmed news by India Forums.

So it means finally we can expect limited tv series where scripts will be ready before the shoot and then after shooting the whole show or its first season it will be on floors after editing phase. Well thats the best part of the above article. I guess this may bring an outstanding change in our daily soap design. I am pretty excited to call on for those shows which will embark on a new journey with a completely new format. Firstly 70-80 episodes afterwards episode limit can be trimmed down. So yay ! 🥳

If things will go as per given news in above articles, then we can expect some good finite series shows on TV screens and workers will also get their salary. But risk will be there for all of them including actors while shooting shows in this time.
