And a clarification: StarPlus is not single handedly axing these shows. The decision is more from the PH side because it is the PH which has to maintain the sets and stuff. So it is the Ph which decides to axe the show because it doesn’t want to incur the sunk costs and the channel merely just agrees to it. StarPlus is not bankrolling these shows.

I agree with all your points. YRKKH occupied that 9:30pm slot from 2009. Because of that serial,no other new serial is getting that slot in Star plus. It should be end first. People watch what they want to. Just because they don’t watch what you watch, doesn’t mean you’d judge them.

Now don’t tell me that there was nothing regressive in this show. Don’t also tell me that it was less compared to other shows. These are very weak arguments. First off, KHKT did not run as long as those terribly ruined shows. Not fair to compare.

I’d really love to see that credible source which told that ‘StarPlus is going off air 😆’ and/or ‘Rajan Shahi is leaving TV industry and starting textile business’ (whichever was being referred to).

And it is not fair to call ‘Naamkaran’ and ‘KHKT’ progressive shows per se. They had their own nonsense. There was this one scene where the FL jumps out of a procession in a goddess avatar to “destroy” the villain, who happened to be her own grandmother. 😆 You should really watch that scene. Bohot maza aaayega.

The bhagyas thing I partially agree and partially don't...

Agree coz they have huge popularity, going by the facts you stated (I personally don't know😆), and will be a tough competition to KHKT in terms of TRP... Content ka comparison mein toh KHKT must be the best. But in ITV content ain't important, TRP is! So yeah, it's been a long run for them and the tracks must have become monotonous (iske bacche ka love story then uske Baccho ki love story🤣)

Kinda disagree because when one old fashioned show goes off air, then the TRP audience will look for other similar shows... KHKT was a show with a lot of bold scenes for the more developed/ progressed audience... Watching such bold scenes won't suit the regressive thinking many hold... And that will change only with time... Not all of a sudden! So yeah, KHKT will always maintain a dedicated fanbase, maybe not as large as bhagyas and all IMO... Woh alag baat hai ki maybe people who had detached with ITV join in again because of amusing content and all😉

No wonder KHKT maintained top position in the UK for the longest times😛

First off, this is not entirely true. Even if it were, it is nothing to be proud of. I remember that Yeh Hai Mohabbatein was the number 1 show in the UK until it was on air in the UK. I don’t deny that YHM was a great show for 2-3 years. But the last 1 years was simply a drag and total nonsense. So yeah the UK audience are no different.

Don't want to watch regressive stuff, shift to web shows especially of American and Korean... That's what I watch mostly, I watched KHKT for my liking towards Dipika and thankfully, the show turned out to be amazing😳

If you mean to say UK audience is not more progressive than the Indian audience (speaking in terms of majority), then you've got your facts wrong...
